Yup, I use the Sram EX-8 spd. (cable actuated) On my Bafang M620-160Nm fat bike. The thicker chain is definitely more confidence inspiring. 12 spd chains with the high 160Nm torque is very fragile and snap much faster.

I have old AXS on it. I did the upgrade kit a few years back and got a 20% discount on it, so I went for it. It's hardy and I like the electronic shifting. Overall,. It's a little more precise, longer over time due to no cable stretch than on my XT setup on my other rig. If the Type-T costs...

I just had the thinner black primer paint initially. And then just recoated it with another black primer layer and clear coatings. So, probably not as thick at the joints at the OEM paint job from ZSSZ. So yeah it's tight tolerances but no problems: paint chipping, chaffing, marring or any sign...

Nope. Was a spurious result of my initial main pivot bolt being short by 7 mm. SZZS sent me the wrong size. That's been well documented. The mating bolt sheered off mid ride early on and the linkage joints saw some friction wear from that. I was sent the correct size (or rather had a custom Ti...

Possibly. But remember that the seat stays have no crossbridge to contact. I run a 27.5x2.8 tire. It's 28.75"tall with great clearance from the seat tube. A 29er should also clear it. But if not, then just shorten the stroke or go 27.5 wheel and keep the overstroke. Experiment. The bigger...

Rough estimate: 150 mm OEM (210 x 50 shock) on a 50 mm stroke. 150 mm/50mm = 3 or 3:1 leverage ratio. Learned it from Mtbr.com a few years ago. Or just Google it. Stroke: Functional travel: -50 mm 150 mm -52.5 mm 157.5 mm -55 mm. 165 mm -57 mm...

I've run a 55 stroke on a large frame since last year no problem. But like you said try it first and see how it fits for you. I luv it!👊

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

I ordered a 3D printed small clamp for my old M600 display from a local print shop two years ago. That was $30 USD. I can only think something 10x the size as the motor guard would unlikely retail under $200 USD.. Also, I broke it on the install, too brittle and no choice on the type of...

Alright then! Let's get Bafang engineering on it!😁 Maybe we can convince Steve at EMBN to cajole their engineers into going full wireless remotes. Plus, I think Forestal's Bafang display is wireless, so maybe resistance by Bafang?

But, I wonder how DJI is doing it with their new drive system. I think the AMFLOW bike featuring DJI electronics has a carbon top tube integrated frame display connected to two handlebar remotes wirelessly via Bluetooth.

Check it out to see the Bafang motor parts breakdown. 👇 My complements to Steve Jones from EMBN for fully embracing Bafang motor power, reliability, and inexpensive qualities. 👊 My only minor dig....can they make a replacement casing gasket for the M820 before my 2,000 mile re-greasing. 😝

Oh great! Thanks again for being persistent. I suggested to Ian at Rockguardz that around $100 USD price point seems doable. Especially since that seemed to be around the price of range for others they've done and price list on their website. A total of 5 of us have expressed interest. Some...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

Damn! If it is the one from the EMBN Bafang Factory vid then it looks like it's mainly for road bike use with no handlebar remote selector. This is a dumb question, so "...I'm asking for a friend..." Bafang should be able to make a Bluetooth version of a DPC 245 remote power selector, right...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

Oh, I missed it on first search but yeah I think you have found it.👊 Wonder if it comes with the handlebar power mode selector too? Also, if Jean or Linda might research it (accurately😉) at SZZS?

Non-ICR headset, internal frame cable guide conversion for the SZZS-specific CEF50

Hopefully, it won't be a problem for you..👊 Post-thought: if they do slacken, measure the diameters with a digital caliper take a few pictures and request a warranty replacement ASAP. I'd agree that somehow your frame is out of spec. tolerances. I can't imagine how if it's from the same mould...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

You gotta inquire with Jean at SZZS to see if it's even available for the CEF50? Although a wireless DPC246 would be cool....clean up the handlebars and cockpit a bit more.💸

Hmmm where to get this display for the M820? 👇 Saw it when Steve of EMBN did today's Bafang Factory vid feature. I'm fine with the DPC 245, but yah know, I'm curious how it might fit on the CEF50. Could SZZS enlarge the current cutout. Or perhaps we could DIY install it? Thoughts? Is it the...

Non-ICR headset, internal frame cable guide conversion for the SZZS-specific CEF50

So your using the ZS 56/66 aftermarket cups correctly, that is Nukproof up top and the Acros below? You removed the previously glued-in SZZS factory cups successfully. Now there is play with new ones,? Or you insert them by hand with some resistance like light tapping? I also greased...
