I observed the same with my M510 on the E10. I think it’s the sprague bearing (one way clutch) that has some play. Running downhill, the chain slap working against the sprague bearing is causing that rattling noise. I use this simple chain tensioner device, significantly improving the noise level.
I run a DPC 245 V1 with M510 at 48V, but I‘m pretty sure this works on every voltage between 36 and 52. There is absolutely no reason to change this compatibility with a new revision. So don’t worry..
Thats some klnd of advertisment of a bike company named „Rockcan“ with no details or link to a website. If You check the website, You find no info at all, looks like under construction. That’s not what I expect from a professional seller here on the forum.
I contacted Chili today, she already ordered 40 pcs. of the V3 display at Bafang. Once available, I would offer to collect oders from Europe DIY community and do a combined order if financially attractive.
Ok got it. I run an E10 frame with M500/510 engine for over 2 years now, overstroked coil shock (170 mm rear travel) and Fox 38 180 mm fork. handling / geo / weight is awesome. I don’t get the hype for even steeper seat angles, there is too much weight on the hands / front end and the toptube is...
Easy to calculate, CEF50 vs. E10:
- frame is appr. 1,5 kg lighter
- battery is only 0,5 kg lighter
- engine is 0,6 kg lighter
Summing up to weight saving potential of appr. 2.6 kg. If You use a lighter battery (LAnton) You’ll save another 0,7 kg.
CEF50 reach is 483, E10 size L reach is 485 - almost same. The difference is the toptube length, 630 vs. 658 for the E10. This is related to the steeper seat angle of the CEF50, so I assume the seated position feels short for You. May be You try to move the saddle backwards as much as possible...
All correct- like written above. The effective TT of the CEF50 is 15mm shorter, due to the steeper seat angle. Imagine the seat angle is getting steeper, then the TT is getting shorter without any effect on the reach value..
