There is a slight overrun, but not for 1 second. It’s easy to get used to it, just learning to use the extra push to overcome obstacles. I like the behavior very much…
And besides the headset cable routing I don’t like the very steep seat angle. Size L has same reach value as E10 at 485 mm, but toptube lengt is 40 mm shorter!!!
Add the weight for linkages, bearings, axles, bolts, battery mounts and cover. Then You have the frame weight. My E10 size L was closed to 4kg if I remember that correctly…
360 Wh at 36 Volt would mean 10S2P 20 x 21700 cells configuration. 1.4 kg batteries, plus Nickel, plus BMS, plus wiring and bag. Appr. 2kg. I wouldn’t like to have that on my toptube. But that’s only me 😊
This looks like a bad idea imho, placing significant weight at the worst place available on the frame in regards of weight distribution / center of gravity. 2kg wobbling around on the toptube..
With 8mm bolt maximum offset is 2 mm per shock eyelet, so 4 mm overall. Your 210 mm shock will have an intstalled length of 206 mm. Compressed lenght with 50 mm stroke will be 156 mm. TC is running 210 x 55 shock with no issues, compressed length is 155 mm. Should work from math perspective 😂...
I see You walking home…
I had 3 cable breaks with the canbus cable motor to display allready, with standard cable routing at E10 frame. Maybe they improved the cable, the current one lasts since 1.400 km. I allways take a spare withe me in my backpack. Good luck mate!
Exactly. I used an average ratio of 2.5 to calculate additional travel if You overstroke the shock, not 1:1. TC is using a RS with MegNeg, the bigger air volume is almost like using a coil shock. And he‘s happy with it, so I think a coil would work good as well.
