Thanks for the info! Would be interesting to know if there is any advantage on higher capacity available, eg. 13S4P 21700 960Wh battery. Otherwise, at 13S3P, it‘s still 720 Wh and I don’t see any advantage, but loosing the 36V bottle battery range extender option.
Hi, this is not that easy because there are 3 controller versions of the M510 FC1. You need the know what version You have, otherwise You cannot flash the firmware. I was running the firmware on picture attached, You need to download it from GitHub. If You need a real specialist, contact Dado...
If You look at it from an engineering perspective, the two seatstays are working like independent pushrods if there is no crossbar. But they cant, because of the stiff rear axle, and the massive one pice rocker arm. I doubt that a crossbar would lead to any noticeable improvement here.
The housing for 43V is the small Bafang Battery. And more Volt doesn’t mean more Wh. It’s simply the amount of cells and their specifications that results in Wh. Voltage of the pack x Ah of the parallel batteries = Wh. 10S4P 21700 3,6 V 5Ah each will 10x3,6V = 36V. 4x5Ah 20Ah. 36V x 20Ah = 720Wh.
Exactly. Motor Output Power in Watt. But the Calorie counter measures Your power input via the torque sensor, at least You can derive Your average Watt input by:
- 1 Kcal = 1,163 Wh
- the time of Your ride
Example: You burned 300 Calories (kcal) on a 2h ride.
300 x 1,163 = 349 Wh, this is...
He refers to the old Bafang Go App. This is working with my 245 Display as well. But no option to adjust levels etc..
Chili told me the Bafang documentation if faulty, and GO+ app omly works via IOT.
I had a conversation with Chili Shen recently about DPC245 / BT5.0 / BT5.1 and Bafang GO+ App. She told me You need the Bafang IOT Box to connect to the App. No possibility to use the Display only.

Bad decision on cassette and chain imho. This bike eats the drivetrain for breakfast. Keep an eye on Your chain wear, my chains are lasting appr. 1.300 km only. After 5.000 km on my E10 M510 I‘m on 4th chain and 2nd cassette.
