That is manually set by the dealer that you bought the bike from when they set it up. They plug in the computer and set a distance and time and whichever comes first will cause that prompt. Service cost is determined by the place you bought it from. Its not so much for the ebike componentry as...
It's actually not complicated, at all.
For 12 speed shimano (hyperglide+), you want a hyperglide+ chain. Which only shimano make. This will ensure the smoothest shifting, and the most life out of your components. The chain, chainring and casette are all manufactured specifically to take...
Wow, you can really see how much the chain has worn away at the chamfered edges of the big teeth!
I'd imagine that chainring probably performs okay now, that it's been worn down so much.
How much distance have you logged on that bike?
Got a better picture of the updated chainring from a youtube review of 2021 thron model.. (Mine was 2021 too though)
Now clearly with the big difference in the teeth profile you can see why the old one was a problem..
contrast that with the original
Thinking about swapping from Muc-off dry lube, to Squirt e-bike lube (wax type).
Looking to get that smooooth feeling through the pedals.
Does anyone use it?
Whats your process for applying and keeping it good?
I've recently noticed a constant buzzing sound coming from what sounds like either the battery or the motor, hard to tell. It is constant, whenever i put slight pressure on the pedals but not enough to cause the bike to actually accelerate. IE i can push it with my hand a bit firm to cause it...
I'm just doing some troubleshooting on a buzzing noise ive noticed on my bosch cx gen 4 ebike.
I just wanted to know, for other people out there, when you insert your bikes battery, does the bike turn on automatically? As soon as i slide in the battery my kiox display turns on right away...
I got the Ethirteen espec 160mm cranks on hand haven't put them on yet. Not sure about chainstay clearance hopefully it should be fine. And will get the bosch short crank firmware installed at same time.
Yes I noticed a bit tight on one of them near my little toe on the side. I have that problem with a lot of shoes though and generally after wearing them in a bit it resolves itself.
I have the Shimano GR7 in black/red. I like it, especially the elastic cuff around the ankle that stops sand/dirt getting in, i hate that feeling so much when theres crap in your socks.
So I'm thinking of dropping from 170mm cranks to 160mm for a few reasons.
#1, to help avoid pedal strikes, also because the stock crank has too much overhang past the pedal mount.
#2, I'm right between a medium and a large size bike, I went for medium and I'm thinking it might be cramping me...
So I just did my first proper clean of my new e-bike drivetrain. I used muc off drivetrain cleaner left it on the chainring/derailleur/cassette and chain for 5 minutes and gave it all a really good scrub with brushes and then rinsed it all off with water and then let dry, I then used muc off dry...
I'm thinking about dropping from 170 to 165mm cranks, and was wondering if anyone else has done that, and then gone to their LBS to have their motors software changed over to the short crank version?
Would just like to get any feedback about the change and how you felt it changed the bike. I...
