I'm not sure what's going on, it's a new bike. Bike store mentioned it looked like every second tooth (the wider ones) had a bit more wear on it proportionate to the rest. I will replace the chain at the same time as the chainring and see how it goes.
Going from a stock OEM FSA 34t "megatooth"...
Update:
After recording several videos of the area, I realised that the chainring doesn't seem to be releasing the chain very well, causing the bottom chain to bounce. It seems the sound is in sync with each time this happens. We already ordered a new different chainring yesterday before I...
It doesn't make the noise when the rear wheel is lifted off the ground and pedals spun with motor on or off. It only makes the noise when there's high pressure applied to pedals and lot of resistance generated which can't happen without the wheel on the ground.
Took it to another bike shop...
In the clips, I am in a very easy gear, that is, easy to spin around. I'm not in a high gear. The noise I'm talking about is the low frequency thumping noise.
So I bought a new Focus Thron 2021 a few days ago. Has Bosch CX Gen 4 motor.
For first 70km or so I didn't notice this noise or sensation at all then all of a sudden it started happening. It happens at low cadence high torque (eg uphill). It makes a creaking noise and each time I hear the noise...
Just wondering, what insurance is everyone using for their bike?
I'd had a look at Wiggle, Velosure and RAC. Looks like Wiggle is most comprehensive, Velosure in the middle and RAC most basic.
Going to be insuring $8200 E-MTB. (Focus Thron)
Thanks
Yeah, i went to my local Giant store and they were completely sold out of all e-bikes. I got a look at their 'call-back' list of people who wanted e-bikes and it was like 4-5 pages long. They couldn't make any promises about when i would recieve a call.
Focus 2021 stock is literally arriving...
I recently bought my first e-bike, a trail bike that extends a bit into touring as a do-it-all.
I have heard some things about lycra-like shorts that help prevent chafing and might have padding, as well as trail specific pants/trousers. I wouldnt mind some padding is that usually built into the...
So i just bought my first E-MTB and was wondering where people around perth ride?
I know of Manning park, Kalamunda and Goat farm.
I'm also trying to find some trails that are reasonably accessible via train.
But would also like to know just nice places to ride in general, not necessarily bush...
I noticed on Shimano's website for the Hyperglide+ technology they mention "HYPERGLIDE+ will help kickstart the next generation of mountain bike riding by introducing continuous pedaling over virtually any terrain. ".
And i hear around the place that it means you can just keep pedalling and not...
Just wondering, for those that have used/use Fox Rhythm forks, how are they?
Do they compare well to the Performance/Factory models?
My Focus Thron 6.9 comes with Fox Rhythm 130mm e-bike fork and i was wondering what people think about these OEM models?
Thanks!
Not sure why they arent working for you, the links work fine for me. Here is a pic of each of the items, they bost cost €14.99 and are both available for purchase. Regardless, if the third link works for you, they are both available from that same page, as it gives you the option to choose...
Further to the post above, they are selling a road bike and a mtb mount that are simpler and cheaper. Like the cube acid, but actually available for purchase:
MTB version
Road bike version
And then also i found, on this site, a 'universal' one which looks to go near the stem:
Look at third...
Awesome! I bought my first e-bike yesterday, and funny you mention it, I also got the Focus Thron but I went for the 6.9 spec.
Should be getting it in about 2-3 weeks (Australia).
How exciting!
So i have narrowed it down to these two bikes that i like that are locally available to me. Focus Thron2 and Focus Aventura2
I will mostly be riding roads/bike paths locally around my house, as the trails are about 1.5 hours away. But at the same time i want to ride simple trails not crazy...
