I use a quad lock and it’s solid, specks for my Blackview was 12volts charging? on inspection was 5volts but slightly larger charging lead port but came with little adapted to normal port, no Ant+ support but FM radio ?. Ant+ is a dying communication but I have an ANT+ stick 8mm by 10mm can be put in port, usb ant app. Great phone for bike.

Is there a way to configure how often BLEvo records location points? The default setting is nice on storage space but seems to be chopping off parts of quickly turning trails. (see attached) I have the configuration set to use bike data instead of GPS so I'm guessing the computed distance wouldn't be affected. However, if that weren't the case then using GPS data might result in a different distance measurement, too short in this example.

What you see in the map view is not all the point store in the TCX/GPX or CSV file.. Only the rendering is affected.. You can select the granularity in the map view.. this is just for accelerate the rendering of the map...

Paolo, I added a 2020 SL Expert Carbon to my bike roster last week. I was able to figure out how to get Mission Control to switch from my Sworks to my SL, but I can't figure out how to easily get Blevo to adjust between the two bikes. On my first ride, I managed to get it to adjust by fumbling around but I have no idea what I did. Last night I just couldn't get Blevo to stop looking for the Sworks and find the SL instead. I'm sure there is an easy way to do this, can you help?

When you change the bike, you need to go in the configuration menu and scan for the bike you want to use.. For now BLEvo handles only one bike for time...

This one is even less expensive. As far as I can see it has an OLED screen which should make it more energy efficient and viewable from wider angles. No Face ID on this one either - that's a big plus.

I wonder if the heart rate monitor that came with my Peloton will work with Blevo... has anyone ever used it?
Lots of old ant+ Stuff about and will be for years, is it ANT+ or Bluetooth or old Bluetooth? Thinking about it ANT+ version of this app might need to be put in stand alone version Blevo ANT+ as it could lead to errors in an update with no ANT+ phone ? not so simple is it.

The heart rate measurement can be done via Bluetooth LE (Smart) or via ANT+.. But for ANT+ the phone should support this protocol and not so many phones have this.
Now Garmin is updating his watches to enable to send the heart information via standard Bluetooth LE protocol, so you can configure the watch for BLEvo..
But I don't know if I understood correctly your question..

Hi, again such a great app that’s better than my edge 1030, if you add Ant+ And Bluetooth as an option for the rider power input instead of using Levo Bluetooth you would open the app up to a new market, the non Ebike market, also you could cut a deal with Befang/ Tongsheng with crank Toque and kits to use as a display add on, I think with your skill you have only scratched a small market and at over 200000 downloads blevo could be over 1000000 ? They have added Bluetooth to kt controller now?

Fenix six heart broadcast info

Unless watches have improved they read the heart rate wrong on the wrist on bumpy ground, better upper arm or chest for correct readings ?

Ant+ Dongle ebay £12 Android
Ant+ Dongle Amazon £53 iPhone
Both plug into phones without ANT+
Ant+ usb app free
Ant + manager app free

Supported watches: Garmin Forerunner 245, Forerunner 945, Fenix 6 Series (it might also work with the Tactix Charlie and Quatix 6 Series, but I don’t have either)

If you don’t have one of the above watches, you’ll need to use the ANT+ broadcasting method down below. Or, if you found this post a year or so in the future and have some mysterious new watch not listed above, it probably supports this method.

Battery mileage anyone
Hi, I set my Levo eco mode to 1% with the blevo app to get more distance from my bike, if in eco mode the 504 watt/hour battery might only get 250 watt/hours to the wheel with 50% of energy lost in heat and motor friction in the motor depending on setting, as for a normal setup eco for most riders are getting less mileage from there battery than if they keep switching between no support using blevo and Trail or turbo.
Trail and Turbo might get 400 watt/ hours at the wheel in real life from a 504 watt/hour battery, the wattage shown in blevo and battery monitor is the power to the motor not wheel.

Yes, there are some frictional and efficiency losses but I recall that bicycles have some of the most efficient transference drive trains of all. The electric motors normally convert around 90-95% of power to energy so I think the losses are not as high as 50%.

I too have my lowest setting at BLevo at 1% and I saw on a ride other other day that I had a predicted range of 500+ km at times. I cycled 60km and used less than 20% of the battery. This was a fairly flat trail (the Tissington - High Peak trail in the Peak District).

Well I am about to find out, the TDSZ2 mid drive has a maximum of 70% efficiency, that’s the best result so far and this comes in at low cadence below 60rpm cadence, spin higher and the efficiency drops and the motor becomes noisy. Just fitted a shunt to the Levo battery “Warranty now void “to find current and watts in cycle analyst and putting it on a indoor smart trainer for watts at the wheel, might be good to see what results I get on my Levo, no info on internet on the efficiency of Levo only torque on internet but we soon run out of battery until technology moves on, efficiency is king on bikes not torque ?

TDSZ2 is very good but low cadence makes it dull compared to Levo.

Hi Just got 79% efficiency on my Brose motor on a indoor smart trainer, the rider output reading from blevo and Garmin edge using Specialized internal torque sensor matched 100% in Ant+ form to Garmin and blevo in Bluetooth.
It seams we get 79% efficiency down the assistance levels if you get over 100 watts assistance from the battery, that 79 watts at the wheel.
Below 100 watts assistance from motor it drops as at 50 watts you go down to 25 watts at the wheel.
50 watts from battery and 80watts from rider = 130 watts in. At the wheel I got 105 watts, 80 from rider and 25 from the motor so motor efficiency 50%
So turbo and trail mode are king and eco mode is only any good as long as it’s over 100w assistant ?
Would it be good to add a third power setting real watts at the wheel or just remember that Real power is multiply by 0.8 example 100watts shown is 80watts at the wheel pushing the bike.
Buy the way Blevo was 100% the same on amps watts and rider power to the cycle analyst C3 ?.
The motor consumes 3 watts wherever and at 1 to 5 % assistance the draw stays at 13watts continuously but goes up at 6% assistance. Some Levo have the option to have no assistance on the handlebars but does that turn off rider power input?

You create your gpx or download it. Then you attach it to an email you send to yourself. Then you open the attachment, at this point android asks you to open it with blevo...hopefully:)

Ive got the map , in an email , I can't work out how to move it to the gpx file in Blevo... I can't get the phone to open the gpx with Blevo it only offers chrome or All Trails.

Blevo has just downloaded a random map of Italy for some reason (me?)

IF I go to Import GPX , I can't see how to do this from the email.

there must be a switch somewhere , so I can get it to open in Blevo , but I can't find it.

anyone..... is there a video.... ?

TIA

Try reinstalling Blevo and it might reset as the default to open GPX from an email attachment.

yep ive tried that one, there is another one with subtitles that ive watched but still no nearer, ive spent about an hour this afternoon going through everything on the phone. Still no nearer.

Ive deleted the all trails app, and its not even asking how I want to open the file now, just opens in chrome on the all trails site. I can't get the gpx into Blevo either. I must be doing something stupid.

ANT+ broadcasting I think it is present in all the watches..
The new Bluetooth broadcasting will be added with firmware update, but I don't have a plan.
Just to remember that the ANT+ functionality is only for Android version..

That’s very enlightening and interesting. Power at the wheel being 79% of power drawn from the battery seems about right. It’d be even more interesting to compare the same bike equiped with say Kinderlay and Rohloff geared hubs.

I’d really like to see Grin Technologies make a true stand alone Cycle Analyst that - additional to the shunt, sniffs Bluetooth & CAN signals. That’s obviously not for everyone but would absolutely allow insight into & further development of new electro designs.

The blevo is the cycle analyst in Bluetooth/ android and iphone form, and you can output the information from cycle analyst into data to a computer or in Bluetooth if you solder to the connection inside cycle analyst and attach a Bluetooth module, think new c3 has the output on a plug already. I have a Bluetooth kt controller which is just five wires that normally do to the display but just plugs into a Bluetooth chip so the technology is there, just waiting for someone to pick up on blevo and make it standard for all ebikes, Blevo is not for 99% of riders in this form as too much information for most, most just want to switch on and ride without putting a phone on handlebars, but great for us 1% in current form ?
Has Brose/ Specialised put in the output torque from motor to crank in data form, is there a second torque sensor for motor output? Is it required for 1 in 1000 people like us? as it adds cost.

Geard hubs Hubs take 0.8 amps to turn or 30 watts to turn at 15mph mph whist costing down a hill doing 20 mph, so no assistance at 20mph but still using 30 watts to turn the motor inside at a slower rate than the wheel is turning faster than the motor using the clutch . so you have to turn the power off to the motor once you go over assistance level, the geared hubs requires a smart kt controller that does that or better using cycle analyst that will cut power off at 15mph. Cheap kt control will just let the motor run giving no assistance at 20mph whilst consuming 0.8 amps at 36volts.
Geared hubs will give 80% efficiency at full load same as Brose mid drive. All on endless spheres forum for performance graphs for hubs.
