Picked up mine (long term loaner) today in Comp Carbon spec.

Out of the crate weight, tubed, no pedals in size XL:

Thanks, always enjoy your Youtube program, I swapped in the Lefty Ocho and 27.5" wheels, removed the main battery and made it a range extender only and got 14.45kg! XC built is another way to enjoy E-MTB, I believe!

Really like that build, because I can see why you have gone for the parts you have, rather than just try and make the build as light as possible at the expense of ride ability. Top work

Thank you for your comment. Do you live in Surrey? I also lived in Farnham around 2002, Small world!

Wow! Do you happen to have the weight of the main battery pack after you removed it?
I have thought of doing similar for trips (if we ever get back to normal) that require air travel

Nearing the 800 miles mark on mine. free hub loosened twice but hasn’t done it for a few hundred miles. The slight squeak from seal in crank area is quieter and hardly notice it now. Chain etc running sweet too but I do always run two chains and swap around every 200 miles and clean regularly. Still loving every ride.

Hi all, my Levo SL should have been with me last week, except that when it got to my LBS nobody logged it in! So, hoping to pick it up early next week and wanted to check a few things (having trawled this thread).
1) Check and remedy the cable rub issue on the motor housing port, any thing I specifically need to do/look for?
2) SicoMTB rear guards; is anyone using/used them and recommends?
3) I tend to like a more progressive/bottomless feeling in my sus setup, as it's way easier on my fairly destroyed legs. Other riders who like the same, what setups have you gone for? Linkage change, shock change, shock tune?
4) Any other mobility-challenged riders using them and having issues with power/support (I didn't on my test rides, but didn't get to do many longer rides)?
5) Anything else you think I need to know?!?
I won't be going all weight weenie on my bike, build as follows:
150mm Pike Charger 2 RCT3 with 2021 Debonair spring.
Octane One Chemical Pro 40mm stem, rainbow.
Brand X carbon bar, 25mm rise, cut to 760mm.
Ergon Factory grips, rainbow collars.
Code R front and rear.
GX single click shifter.
155mm FSA cranks.
Sam Hill Enduro flats.
SDG Bel Air 2.0 saddle.
NS Enigma Rock/Roll 29" wheelset, rainbow hubs and spokes.
Minion DHF Exo+ 2.6, with Nukeproof ARD insert on the front, Double Down Aggressor 2.5" rear.
I think that covers it, aside from a possible shock upgrade later. All mounted up on a medium Cast/Berry frame.
Can't wait..!

Isn‘t the bottom bracket too low with 27.5“ in the front and back?
Wouldn‘t it be better to put only 27.5“ on the back wich the high setting and keep 29“ on the front?

I switched my SL to 27.5, the bottom bracket is at the same height as my analog MTB. No pedal strikes on either but I do not ride rock gardens.

Hi, first of all thanks for the great insights and ideas!

I finally decided it is time to get up the tricky uphills with less effort to enjoy longer rides (and less pushing uphill). So I ordered Carbon Comp Levo SL on Monday, went for a ride six hours later and the chainstay of my trusty Horsethief gave up...cannot imagine how it knew it is going to be replaced  Well at least this solved the issue of reasoning to the wife I need a new bike. (I hope she never will find out what it cost.) And have had the time to read through all the 42 pages of the owners’ thread with no bike to ride.

Really do love this bike . Only doing cycle from my front door and can’t wait until trails near me open back up .. also not sure if I’ve already mentioned that my coil shock actually fits the large frame with extender . I had to take the 2 black plastic washers from the cage and stick them both on the bottom hole on the outside to bring the cage up front the bottom giving it the angle I needed for it to fit and not hit the shock . It works flawlessly ! This will only work on the large or extea
Large frame it will not fit on a medium .

How bad the Guide R stock brakes on Carbon Comp really are?

I cannot read many good things about them and having swapped to XT on my previous bikes I wonder if I should do the same right from the start. That said, my regular trails have no long descents but with all my gear on I’m well in the heavyweight class.

What comes to the components..
I love sram gearsaet but hate the brakes. Thats why I use Shimanos 4pot xt's.
