They went a slightly different way.

Apparently they ran a survey of SL owners as to what they liked about the bike "The natural feel" "It feels like a bike" "It's agility"

Then they ran another survey of 1000 random people and asked what does a bike make you think of.

6 months later .. and after going through lots of letters .. they went from SL to ST !

SL owners wanted more power, but without more weight in the motor, The mahle is out and they went for a 700w hub motor ! ST owners should now be able to make Full fat Levo owners look slow going up hill !

SL owners wanted more range, but liked the original range extender idea and the thinner down tube.. So they went for even thinner down tubes, which looked so good they added a second one. Paired with a huge 772wh extender battery mounted on the frame, this bike is expected to remove a lot of SL range anxiety.

SL owners wanted proper brakes, not little stupid 180mm Orbea ones .. so this thing gets 200mm disks.

SL owners wanted 9 speeds, because that's what their Dads had ... so it has that.

SL owners couldn't decide if they wanted 29" or 27.5" .. Many said what was wrong with 26 ? Smaller is lighter .. So Spesh have got ahead of the competition and created 20" wheels .

SL owners wanted agility, so Spesh gave this one a 1090mm wheelbase !

SL Owners work hard on a ride and appreciate a beer at the end, the new ST lets you bring a selection of your favourite beers :

Weight was obviously paramount, so the front and rear suspension systems were worked on endlessly and have evolved into their ultimate most simplistic form. The rear features a solidified coil suspension system mounted within a 6 point solid link system and the front has an inverted e-tuned fork which does away with the damper system completely and offers instant response and 100% neutral trail feel.

Similarly, the dropper post. The WU post with it's angle saddle has been simplified. Rather than having a saddle which changes height, a secondary "descending" saddle can be attached to the rear of the bike !!! Genius !

Price wise, the bike is CHEAP ! Only $2800 !!! Traditional owners will save so much that Spesh include two cash containers with the bike for owners to carry all the money home they've saved.

The S-Works version is expected to come in at $21,000, won't come with the cash containers as standard, but will have a nice sticker and a brighter front and rear light. The kick stand on the S-works model is expected to be chrome.

Watching this one carefully.

Have a deposit on the Relay and like the frame package but concerned about frame weight plus I hate completes.

Also, I love my Spesh SJevo and would love to ride the same bike with a bit of an e boost.

Placed in my calendar.

Question, where is the best place to place a deposit on a Spesh in the USA, mail order?
