Hello ,Nice To hear but hard to believe from a bafang M600 .Are we talking about the same motor ? I got max 70km(1 batt) on flat hardend roads with zero hm .on a dengfu batt 840Wh

1.4%/km seems hard cycling. i have an average of about 1.25%/km for about 250m elevation gained on average. 90% on PAS1/9

Dont exactly what you mean with the nummers above ...but yes PAS1 is the most. (even 95%) i use also ...more than assist enough (-: but then again 4-500hm means minus at least 10km in lenght.

I did the 70km also on one battery. The e05 Dengfu with m600. And I did that a few times by now. You just don’t use throttle and never go past lowest pas level. Ofcourse it depends on many other factors like your own weight, tyres etc etc. In this case it’s a trail bike.

Looks like battery consumption of around 1.42% per km is about what most people are getting. Which firmware's are most of you using?

My numbers were on the 46.6 software 48v. I upgraded to 46.7 recently but haven’t got results on maximum range yet. Continuous assist on pas 1 is lower on the 46.7 but the first ramp up when starting with pedalling is way higher then on the 46.7

i am on 46.7 as well, and i am hoping someone can chime in on the bfang 14.6 firmware compared to the 46.7 in terms of torque level at PAS 1 and battery consumption.

There is space with the 14s3P 21700 battery I built at either end and I think with careful battery construction and layout it could be possible to build a 13S4P battery but it would be very tight I would suspect as the frame is designed with 18650 batteries in mind.

A 14S3P Samsung 21700 50E battery will give you 780W\h’s
A 13S4P Samsung 21700 50E battery will give you 960W\h’s

Is it worth the cost and development for just 18% of additional battery ?

I’m only using about 550W/h’s on 1K of climb over 50K of quite knarly and slow off road, and would suspect that if I backed off a bit on power and had more open terrain, 100km would be possible on the 1 battery ?

I would love to see a video of how someone would build one of these batteries to see exactly what is involved. Do you know what the cost would be aproximately to build a 13S4P Samsung 21700 50E battery that will give you 960W\h’s?

I ordered from a company. the battery cost me less with assemble in that company than if I ordered cells, bms .... and everything I needed. and then there is still no guarantee. this is how I have a guarantee. If you want less Wh such as 13S2P then the M600 has a well known connector to simply plug into, if you want more Wh then your extra cells are not going to fit into the existing format box, Bafang would have done that.

Because I enjoy building my batteries and I save at least 200 Euros on a 840Wh Battery made with quality cells.

This makes total sense. I went down the stock case route recently. The case, while convenient that it fits into the stock connectors, restricts the Ah's possible as well as BMS size and cell size. Being able to group the cells perpendicular to the down tube as shown above rather than parallel will allow for the use of more and also larger format cells and a bigger BMS in the stock cavity with the stock cover plate. If a deeper cover plate was made then an even larger Ah battery is possible. As is the largest possible would perhaps be 21ah non cased.

Hi Thaeber I have one empty box if you are interested .I bought it with the frame directly from Dengfu.But my friend who i am building the bike for, decided that he wants a battery with warranty and we bought a battery from Tossa.So if you are interested i can sell it to you for 50 Euro + shipping which is another 10 euro or so .
