Hi I have a Cef-50
arrived in mid-December with the engine with the characteristics you see in the photo. In the engine you can only find the sticker you can see, no stamped number as in the previous engines. Someone recently received an engine with the same characteristics ❓
I contacted Jean from SZZT to get some information on the speed and firmware since it's an e-road. She tells me that I can't change the firmware because my engine is a 48V and if I do it with Bafang Go+ it stops. I don't see any sticker or punch in the engine that says 48v, do you have any suggestions for me🤔
My M820 motor was also bought as an 48V, it came as 36V, only the sticker said 48V. 🤷🏼‍♂️
In GO+ it was also 36V. Since I bought a light carbon frame, @JimLee-Lightcarbon sent my serial number to bafang. Now GO+ only checks for updates for 48V firmware. They must have some kind of register, what serial needs what kind of firmware.

My experience is 43V firmware available on this forum have looong overrun. 48V had much less, almost zero, feels more natural.
I have now gotten used to it, but would prefer less. I still use the 43V to get more out of the battery.

Hi, so your engine also doesn't have numbers engraved on the engine body, just stickers like mine❓
I contacted Jean from SZST today, tomorrow he will contact someone at bafang to get the real characteristics of that motor🤔 let's hope it gets resolved in the meantime with this firmware I did 125 km with 1750 meters of altitude difference but I struggled I have no experience with e-bikes only with muscular 🚴 feel free to advise me given your experience is similar to mine👍

hello

I am not an expert on these topics so I have some doubts.
I currently have this M820 motor with the 43V10A firmware.
If you would like to change this firmware to 13A.
I had a 410W bafang battery with 9.5 A, it could work, I would get that increase in watts in the motor with this battery.
Moreover where you can download the firmware of 43V 13A E-MTB.

greetings

There are three 43V firmwares in this thread. You can test them out to see which you like the most. You could also try 36V firmware, that would give you more power, let you take more out of the battery but the percentage on the display gets messed up. I don't know how it works when you have official battery with CAN though. I have only tried with DIY battery.

Hello.
Thanks for your reply.
But it does matter if the battery is 9.5A and the motor is 43V.
What I mean is, if I put a 13A fireware can it work with the 9.5A battery? Regards.

You are mixing pears and apples. Your motor is 43V, so is your battery. That is the Voltage the system is running. Controller of motor have a firmware using 43V so battery needs to be same. The 10A and 13A is maximum Ampere the motor can put out with that firmware.

Your battery is 9,5Ah or 9,5 Ampere hours. So it can theoretically provide 9.5 Ampere for 1 hour. This capacity of the battery. Often with ebikes displayed as Wh or Watt hours. In your case 9.5 Ah X 43V = 408.5 Wh. You can have any capacity battery, that only affects how long you can use it on one charge.

I will receive the new M820 shortly but was curious of the K1 eBikes offer for this particular engine, their Flash system looks good to what I would like to solve, but if anyone could share his experience with them, I'll be happy to learn.
Basically, I want to get ride of the 20% limitation if it does apply and tune the power delivery to be more "natural" if possible. Cheers
