Here we go! Cranks arrived today (no idea how this is possible, from Portugal) and are assembled!

Weight is 510g for the pair including screws in 160 mm

Spline is correct, assembly without any issues

No preloaded caps supplied with the cranks, but the cheep gold Alibaba caps are fitting!

Craftsmanship and finish are ok and matching the price point in my Opinion

Clearance is good

You got the q16 right? I think the clearance for m600 shouldn’t be a problem if I look at the pictures so post. They look a lot more classy also! Nice

can you take a photo of stock cranks and miranda in one photo by attaching them to each other?
does the curve make a difference?

Here‘s a photo of the original crank above the Miranda crank. Q-factor, bending, distance between cranks looks almost the same.
Did a short spin today, and I‘m very happy. If You crank up steeper stuff, You crank with slightly higher cadence to compensate the reduced torque of the shorter cranks. It suits my riding style, and feels even more natural and easier to pedal. I never had big issues with pedal strike, so I have to wait for the first rooty and chunky uphill to judge the benefit.

Chaps, do most people use brake sensors on their M600 bikes?

M600 is supposed to support both gear and brake sensors but many bikes and kits ship without the cables. On complete bikes, I think only the Frey M600 comes with brake sensors. I'm thinking about adding a single brake sensor to my own bike, but it's difficult even locating the cables.

Anyone do either or both or have link to the right cables?

Pretty fast shipping to the US - was super surprised when they showed up yesterday or the day before.

Just throwing some weights out there from my scale:
Bafang OEM 170mm(pair): 566g
Miranda 160mm(pair): 514g
Luna 150mm(pair): 462g

Also confirming @thaeber 's earlier comments - pretty much same Q factor as both the Luna 150mm and Bafang 170mm.
They do clear on M600, but it is possible to unscrew one the cinch bolts enough to give you a quick scare on interference - won't happen normally, but was doing a quick install during lunch, and had backed them out for cleaning and a dab of loctite. No interference when installed and riding, etc.

Avoid Pedal strikes is the main reason for most. It’s definitely my reason.
Also
Higher seat position possible
Easy to obtain higher cadence

it depends on personal preference what works best for you

I am thinking about that, never tried. What is better for small people? I have 172cm.
Where to buy them in Europe?

Guys, what is the reason for change to shorter?

For me it was pedal strikes. Possible lighter riders(I'm 6' ~225lbs/100kg), those doing more flat, or running stiffer or higher travel suspension don't need. I originally went from Bafang 170mm to Luna 150mm as the only available option at the time. I had wanted to go to 160mm, so when Miranda announced them, was worth the few $ for me to support them and to see if I prefer them over the 150mm.

Does anyone happen to have any info on the pinout and signals from the DP C240 B/W keypad? Not looking to replace the display as it’s fine ((and IMO most other Bafang displays kind of suck sitting way over the bars..), but the goofy shape of the keypad is annoying. Would love to replace it with something less prone to getting ripped off the bars, something like this ideally, but not sure if the keypad itself is actually ‘smart’/sending CAN commands or is simple gnd/5v etc. Anyone looked into this before?

Hello everyone. does anyone perhaps know how the following could be resolved. we all know that on m500 below 20% battery we only have assistance 1! when I look at the display 15% battery, in the application 45volt voltage. the smart bms shows 36% of the battery's 45volt voltage. knows that the capacity is for a few more kilometers of driving. how could this be fixed? does anyone have any solution? thank you

Anybody tried a shunt mod or overvolt a 36V Bafang M500? I am looking for options how to increase it's power
There is good 17A (stock is 15A) firmware for 36V .
if you will go to shunt resistor mod (just add one more) then m600 firmware shall work, but nobody tried that. Please note the M500 have plastic gear and stock M600 firmware surely melt it.

Yes. People are using that have no issues.
Its near, but still below of plastic gear limit, there is not much to gain without changing gears to metal (and thats not easy part).

@Kyokushin Is there also no decrease in power with battery discharing? I know a lot of firmwares have this to save battery - max allowed amperes decrease gradually, in my opinion a very useless function when most batteries on EU bikes are so OP for that weak motor.
