I've never had that problem with either Shimano or SRAM derailleurs, I don't ride in the wet like you guys do though

My experience is that Shimano are a bit more bulletproof, but in the UK if riding though the winter you can destroy any component unless you are on it in terms of maintenance - I lube all the jockey wheels etc very time I clean the bike.

Anybody have a motor failure let? I have 550 miles on the my 2019 levo comp. Dropped it off Friday at the shop, They think I need a new motor as well. You can hear the motor spin up to max rpm when you been to pedal but the motor is applying very little force to the crank and slips. Failed sprag clutch? Hope Specialized has some motors in stock, itching to get back out on the bike now that the weather has turned.

Yep. Had a new motor. Started failing after 2 months. I think partially down to all the openings and stuff getting in. I'm just assuming though. Have a horrible creak from new motor, so it's going back in this week.

From my understanding the openings only allow debris in connector area not to the internals of the motor, its safe to say that the openings didn't cause my issue. Dealer asked me if i had de-restricted the bike which I though was interesting.

Hi. I started to get problems with the shifting, pretty early after 400km and mostly good weather/winter. Most problems with shifting downwards in the mid-range of the cassett.
I'm not sure, but think it started after gotten the new motorcover. Can this is any way put a press/bend on the wirehose that affect the shifting?
Tried a quickfix yesterday with only replacing new wire, not hose; with no success. Felt like the wire where a little stuck midway trough.

Hi All,
Have a question regarding the 2.1 Brose motor. I had a Kenevo with v1.3 motor and did not feel any resistance when the bike was hanging up in the bike rack when turing the pedals with motor off. On the Levo 2019 i feel some resistance when doing the same. Is it just me or have anybody else noticed this? BIG difference also to my analouge bike when turing the pedals, i sold the Kenevo so i cannot compare directly anymore.....

My 2019 has a bit of resistance as you say ,but my 2018 also had this.
I think you'll find it's normal

But pedaling with motor off doesent feel as smooth as it did with the Kenevo for sure. Deff feel a difference, the resistance is not even througout a pedal stroke either. Meaning small variations in resistance in one turn.

Ahh, mine doesn't do that.
If I start riding with the motor completely off, it's harder than an analogue to get going, but once up to speed on the flat, it's quite smooth and free pedalling and not uneven as you describe.
But if I start turning the pedals while in a work stand, you can definitely feel the motor spoiling up so to speak.

Try turning the cranks with the chain off of the chainring as this will tell you if the "drag" is caused by the brake pads on the disc or drive train induced.

Yes I have a 2019 Levo and a 2017 Levo and the chargers are the same

And since the Kenevo battery is the same as the old Levo battery the connection is the same.

I replaced my stock 150mm fox 34 on the carbon comp with a 160mm Mrp ribbon coil 46mm offset fork today. Wow, I feel it was a big improvement. Maybe it was the shorter offset or lowering the stem one spacer but I didn’t have any negative effects on climbing. Thought I’d pass it on. The fork only was a few grams heavier than the fox34 amazingly.

Couple of questions:
1. Which spring are you using? Firm? Extra Firm?

2. Why did you choose the shorter offset? I’m considering Ribbon 160 Upgrade. But unsure to choose stock offset (51) or shorter (46).

3. What’s your longer term review? Good choice for big hits? I find the Pike on my Expert to be severely lacking in G outs and ledge Hucks (3-5’ to flat).

Is there anybody happy with the fork on base Levo model? I ordered the base model, still did not get it, because of delays ... After some recent reviews I am not sure if it was a good choice...
However, with my budget around 4500e I can not afford comp version, 2018 models are already sold out in LBS...
Should I start to think about some other brands again...? I like the brose motor though...
Please somebody tell me that the fork is ok:)

My dilemma is the same as yours. In california, there is a $1000 difference between the Base Levo and the Comp. And the price difference seems mostly because of the dropper seat and the fork. I am undecided wether to go base and add a good dropper ($250?) and live with fork for a while, or just go for the comp and not upgrade anything...

I spent the whole autumn testing and comparing ebikes, different brands, different motors, wheel sizes and finally decided for levo 2019. Ordered base model in the beginning of december, LBS told me bike would come in january the latest, then move to february, march, april, now they told me may...Meanwhile LBS sold all 2018 models...
So I really started to think about other brands again, like the YT, but I do not like to buy products the have not been tested by real customers, which is the case with YT. And it also is more DH, although many people on this forum say, with ebikes one becomes more DH :)
I also prefer Brose to Shimano motor, although Shimano is second best I think, and probably more reliable.
With YT you will get better components for the same price, but no local support...
So I do not know how I will end up... would like not to miss this season without an ebike though :)

Interesting that you've had such a long wait. Lots of demand for Levos i guess - which must be a good thing. I completely agree with you about YT. I feel a new bike from newer company is just plain risky. At this point every cycle maker has an eBike, but how many of those have local presence. These bikes are so very complex with their electronics that i'd pay more for local dealer support.
Am going to SeaOtterClassic tomorrow, so will get a chance to check out some bikes.

Just wondered if anyone gets or whether it's normal for motor 'over-run'? i.e. motor seems to stay engaged after not peddling. It's only for a short spirt but disconcerting when trying to pull wheelies and coming to a stop.

I've had a play with the settings through mission control and Blevo and can't put my finger on what's causing it whether its acceleration response or peak power.

Haven't had the same sensation with Bosch or Shimano motors and not been on another levo 2019.

Recently had the cable issue where the bike would turn on randomly but all sorted.

Thanks Jonny

Acceleration response is set to 40% across all 3 modes. What settings do you run with?
I have mine set to 60% , I only find the over run noticable in turbo mode, and I use it to my advantage when climbing steep rooty sections.
I can ride up to the obstruction stop pedaling to avoid a pedal strike and the bike carrys me over it.

Agh nice! Will give that a go. Could have done with some of that on the climbs at Cwmcarn today. Cheers
