And have to say after playing round with one they are something else, ignore arguments about spec and pricing, but there is not any other e-mtb that I have seen in the flesh that is like this bike, it’s a beautifully designed bit of kit.

As Rob says in his video they could have called it something else it is so far removed from the old Levo. The M in the pictures I initially thought was an L due to the wheelbase, they had it next to an 18 XL and side by side the geo is so different.

anyone news of Blevo?

We are lucky enough to have the developer on this forum, at some point I suppose he will tell us some good news;)

It's no secret that there are people all over the world with new 2019 models that want Blevo to work on their new ebikes, some people, maybe, are already giving him some useful feedback, communities like this forum exist for people with the same interest to help each other.

Been scratching my head since launch trying to identify the ‘right’ Levo for me. Money isn’t really a factor, at one point I was seriously considering an SWorks. I realised it probably exceeded my ability and many of the refinements would either be lost on me or are lost on a pedal assist bike.

After discounting the Sworks I looked at the Expert or Carbon but I’m having a hard time really justifying either over the Comp Alloy. Apart from the obvious materials, and the cork sniffery, is there any discernible difference between the Comp alloy and carbon models? The specs seem the same.

Lol must stand out looking like an ebike then, even when the darker colour makes it look less obvious. Bet you wasn't the only one riding an ebike though, London to Brighton would kill me.
There were a few but not many at all.

Weather as terrible towards the end. It was only 8 degrees at times and soaking wet.

It’s the noise more than anything. This new Brose Mag S motor is considerably noisier than the 1.3 motor.

Just wondering where can I get a test ride at the moment? All set to go on an L Comp Carbon but the noise thing is a bit worrying. Having ridden lots of ebikes at the Malverns event the only one that didn't get "the reaction" from others was a brose on the Kenevo/Levo.

I rode the comp alloy, expert and sworks. If you want to compare, a alloy is a classic audi a4, carbon a s4 and sworks rs4. Same mind but just different. If price is not a problem, just take the one you need for your type of ride.

Keep in mind that the Sworks will be way less comfy if you want to chill, cause you need to be agressive to enjoy it.

But at least every model are just mind blowing.
I took a Sworks with my dealer price and can’t wait to have it next week :)

Way less comfortable? with 150mm of even smoother more adjustable travel and the same 2.6" tyres the others do?

Need to be agressive to enjoy it even though it has the exact same geometry as the others? (which let's face it isn't exactly ground breaking)

In reality it has a slightly stiffer frame and is a bit lighter overall.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to reply .. I appreciate the analogy but with cars the differences are easy to understand given the engines have distinct performance differences that would suit a buyers requirements but that isn’t so clear cut with alloy, carbon and expert Levo models. For example, with the alloy and carbon comps being identical except for the front frame material (rear triangles are both alloy) is there any discernible difference?

If money isnt your main concern, i would go with the Carbon comp over the alloy comp for no other reason than it looks a little bit better, if you see them in the flesh, especially in the dark blue colour like Robs. Nowt wrong with the spec, and you can upgrade bits over time if you want.

I always think of the s-works models as someone else idea of the ultimate build - at that price level i would rather buy the Comp or Expert depending on how much you care about the bigger battery, and then build it out to my own spec.

which size should the dropper post be?
website of specialized says the size of the dropper post of the comp (x-fusion) is 34.9mm but usually the biggest size of dropper posts is 31.6mm (e.g. fox transfer factory)..

will 31.6mm fit on the levo?

what do you want to say with that?
so the post needs to be 34.9mm with the levo 2019?! but that wouldn‘t be a common size? or is it possible to switch post and binder to a smalled size like the levo 2018?

34.9 is a fairly new seatpost diameter that came along with the increasing popularity for long travel dropper posts

@Sophie777, I just tried on my bike with a Brose S motor and it needs something around 30° before starting. And a minimum speed is necessary too.
Gosh, I guess I wasn't specific enough in my earlier post. The following is a direct quote from the 2019 levo mission control app, a completely new app for the new model, taken from the bikeradar.com review of the bike:
"Another motor tune in the Mission Control app is how quickly the motor engages when you start pedalling, which is adjustable from instant engagement to a small delay."
So this is a completely adjustable feature and can be set to engage immediately if desired. Hope this helps clear up confusion.
It does seem like the engineers try to make it superior in every way.
By the way, it seems to me inevitable that the sound of the motor will go up when you increase its power output. That's just physics.

the base model..

uff, that sounds unfortunate... alright then, thanks.

You can get a sleeve which will allow you to use a 30.9mm dropper in a 34.9mm seat tube.
When I purchased my 2017 SWorks Enduro (frame only) the frame was supplied with this sleeve so I am sure any Specialized dealer will be able to supply you with one.
So if you have a 30.9 dropper and don’t want to buy a 34.9 dropper buy a sleeve instead ?

I thought when you ride on a high end bike its not the same than on a « classic bike » in downhill/enduro/all mountain.

Why ? Carbon wheels, rear triangle in carbon etc etc, like a Demo 8 alloy and a Sworks, a beginner will not enjoy to ride on a Demo 8 Sworks.

A customer who want to try the new Stumpjumper in last July took the Stumpjumper LT alloy for one day in Morzine. He was happy . He try the Stumpjumper Expert with better carbon wheels than the origin, coil shock and a fox 36 the next week, definitively not the same bike, and the customer said the same, not comfortable for him, too stiff.

Levo is the same, they are all perfect ? but a Sworks is not to do the same thing than a comp alloy.
