Took the bike out for ride last night. It was only a short but fairly aggressive ride (for me at least), coming home I noticed the front disc making an odd 'pinging' sound.
It didn't affect the performance and the sound would disappear if I used the front brake, so I assume this is loose pads...
On a separate note, how often would you expect to be replacing (or topping up) sealant?
Does this depend on ride time or does it have a time sensitive quality to it?
Also what are the signs it needs doing (apart from the obvious flat tyre), will it start bubbling around the leaks or just a...
I had mine converted to tubeless by LBS at the bikes first service.
They didn't charge for labour as it was covered under the first (free) service and only ended up charging me for the valves, even though they changed the rim tape and did the back wheel twice as first time he wasn't happy it...
How's the grip compared to the plus tyres?
My local trial has a lot of gravel which I have found deadly in the past on fast sections (on narrower tyres)
Agree that the climbing does most of the damage.
I ride a Focus Jam2 which only has a 378w/hr battery which suits me fine as I don't get many long rides.
1hr 33m, 14mile and 1,455ft of climbing, 2 bars of battery left.
Mostly trail and the odd turbo moment (no eco), 70kg (and a bit) all in.
Never ridden an e-bike without plus tyres, but mine give masses of grip and let go reasonably progressively.
I agree with the comment regarding the pressures, after having mine converted to tubeless the LBS pumped the tyres up so hard they were sliding all over the place. I do sometimes get...
It might be worth checking the distance selling rules as technically you should be able to return the bike for a refund. It may however be very difficult to prove it was broken on arrival, especially as you have used the bike since (although other issues might still classify the goods as faulty).
I'm currently running the original Maxxis Rekon+ the bike came with. I'm guessing as they aren't on the site they are now an obsolete tyre.
Looking at the Minion DHF as a replacement, local trial is mostly gravel over hard pack.
Thanks for the replies, I have been looking at the 6010 but I notice most of you have gone for the 6000, might consider this as the more stealth option.
Definitely want to change this around as I use the dropper more than changing the power settings.
Thanks
Looking to change the controller for the Shimano E8000 to make room for an under bar dropper remote.
Does anyone know if the E6010 works with the E8000 or made the swap themselves.
Any recommendations for an under bar dropper remote?
Thanks Guys (and Girls)
(Re-posted as I mistakenly posted...
Running around 25% sag rear and 20% in the front as it felt too soft on the move at 25%.
Set sag with all compression wound down to its softest setting then set the compression after.

I have the e-tube app. Actually first thing I did when I got the bike was up date all the firmware/software from the app.
I wonder if there any further updates only a dealer can do. Even though I am on the latest version (at least according to e-tube), the custom setting on mine is still...
