Well aware that a battery should never deep discharge. Used to have a motorbike which sat on a smart charger over the winter.
I was wondering how batteries would be affected say, 500 charges over 2 years compared to 500 charges over 5 years.
Personally I charge directly after a ride and usually that means I have around 20-40% left, but I do charge back up to 100%. A timer plug is a good idea, especially if like mine you charge with the battery on the bike.
Not sure if they allow you a true 100% of the battery usage anyway so I...
Hi Shane,
No the bike park was a mix of trail and turbo for the long laborious climbs, I don't really use eco as I find Trail cuts the power down automatically on the trails as speed increases. Eco is reserved for flat riding to and from the park.
Last night's ride which is a flat trail along...
I have a Jam2 Carbon and probably getting a similar amount of range out of the battery.
Went out last night for a trail ride, no real elevation so only around 500ft of climbing. 19miles on 40% of the battery, stuck it on Trail and left it alone.
Riding to and from the local bike park (Hadleigh...
I have a Hero 6 which I haven't used on the bike yet but it was brilliant with a chest mount on both a Segway and a Quad bike.
Would be interested to hear recommendations on bike mounts as I was looking at the quadlock mount with Go Pro attachment, which should put the camera at about bar height.
Thanks guys for the recommendations, a little more information if it helps.
The rims are RaceFace Arc40's and the tyres are Maxxis Rekon 2.8+
I have a really slow leak at the back which I have yet to cure, hence I thought once I took the tyre off to fix, mighf as well kill two birds.
Thanks

For what it's worth this is the route I used to set up my suspension, worked pretty well and seems not to have needed much changing. I will say I feel a little sketchy on the compression setting, but you can certainly feel when it's too soft, so I might be a click or two, too hard.
I used this...
Hi Kernow,
As a roadie, do you think an e-road bike is worth it, or is the 25kph limit just too restrictive (to everyone else, sorry about talking roadie).
M
I know we are all e-bike fans here (me included) so don't shoot the messenger.
Of course getting fit on e-bikes is possible and I myself have lost a few pounds already from just a few weeks of cycling. The thing is, this is also possible on exercise bikes, standard MTB's or roadies, so a lot...
I was sat on a local trail next to a guy having a chat on a short after work blast. He looked over said 'that's a serious bit of kit', I simply thanked him and we carried on chatting. Neither of us mentioned it was an e-bike and we simply talked about the trail like normal bikers.
Thanks Kernow,
I did manage the connection, although I did experience a lot of dropping out which I have read is quite common. Once I'm connected, no problem adjusting the settings, just can't use the infinity adjust on custom, it still acts like the other modes with low, med, high.
