I need to ship a bike that's fully boxed in a normal bike box. I've used Paisley in the past but after speaking to them this morning they say that they won't ship e-bikes. I find this odd because it fits within their size and weight requirements for a bicycle and e-bikes among a lot of other...
Just a thought, I've always put my sealant in with the valve at the 3 o'clock position so any sealant I'm putting in is falling down to the 6 o'clock position on the wheel so it can't just fly up and start sealing the valve, especially as there is no air pressure in the tyre at that point.
The...
🤣 Figured. That's how I do mine, tyre on, no sealant, valve core out. Pop the bead with some kind of tubeless inflater or whatever, let the air out, and sealant through the valve, insert valve core, inflate normally, shake the wheels around, go ride.
You removed the valve core right? 🤔🤣 I mean, of course you did, you'd have trouble getting any type of sealant actually through the valve core. I should think before I reply.
Mine hold pressure fine with the standard blue rim tape, Rimpact valves and Peaty's Holeshot sealant. Initially they went down slowly overnight but that's because I didn't have time to ride the bike right away after doing the conversion. I've always found that a ride and a bounce around right...
Thanks. Already on Pinkbike, Gumtree and Facebook. I've priced it exactly where it fits in in the market place but haven't had any takers yet. I won't get into the details here because this isn't the for sale section but when I listed it this morning on eBay it was the cheapest of that make...
Good tip. I get an 80% offer email about once every two weeks but I'll also check the website. I actually have that offer activated now so I listed the bike for sale this morning.
If it's a rockshox shock then type the part number that's found on it in here:
https://trailhead.rockshox.com/en/
It'll tell you all the info about your shock and also give you psi and rebound settinga based on your weight. Works for their forks too.
This is my rear shock, the number you want...
My headset on my old '20 Cube Stereo 160 creaked, I fitted a new headset with carbon paste and it was silent afterwards with no issues. Granted I can't tell you if the paste alone fixed it because I put a new headset in as well but I can say the paste caused no issues.
Has anyone here sold a bike recently on eBay so can give an accurate answer?
As far as I can see ebay no longer do the Classified listing thing so my only choice is Buy Now or Auction. Once every couple of weeks eBay send me the 80% off of Final Value fees so I'm pretty sure I can use that as...
I was thinking of machining a spacer to go under the bottom of the headtube somewhere but you have to wonder why they've designed it like that in the first place, a different fork crown shape would solve it too. Obviously the geo would be affected if you dropped the forks by 15 or 20mm or...
Yeah I figured that's what would have happened, not technically concerning as at the end of the day headset cups are just pressed into the frame without anything holding them rotationally so of course they will rotate if forced. Gripper paste may help to a degree but the cups will still move...
My Wife's now put it on Facebook for £2700 so dropping the price here to match. And it definitely comes with a pair of black Superstar Components aluminium flat pedals (not pictured).
No worries, I was just about to post the link where you could find the exact spec of your bike, here it is for anyone searching for it in the future:
https://archiv.cube.eu/en
I'd be interested in seeing some photos if you take it apart because mine is listed as this and I want to know what it...
Some of the Cubes use an ACROS AZF-1035 headset that has the built in 120° lock, so maybe worth trying to find some images of that to give you an idea of what might have happened.
