I need to ship a bike that's fully boxed in a normal bike box. I've used Paisley in the past but after speaking to them this morning they say that they won't ship e-bikes. I find this odd because it fits within their size and weight requirements for a bicycle and e-bikes among a lot of other items appear on their restricted list but according to their website anything on the restricted list can be shipped but can't have any liability insurance added to it which makes sense for expensive and/or fragile items because they'd constantly be paying out.

Anyway, does anyone know of a decent company that will ship a boxed ebike for a decent price? I've seen a few random websites but under the surface they all seem to be the type where you have to fill in all your details and they'll send them off to all manor of companies for lots of quotes, I'd rather just use a single company to make things simple.

Two weeks ago, I would have suggested Tuffnells but maybe not now. As a walk up customer, your options are generally what you observed, bung the details into various aggregators like Shiply who just sub it out to an actual carrier which can be sketchy. Try asking if you can piggyback your LBS's account. They may well help you out for a few quid.

Yeah so far it seems like an almost impossible task which is ridiculous in this day and age, batteries are shipped about all over the place every day so I don't really see the issue. I could deliver myself but it's a 6hr round trip so I could really do without having to do that if I can help it.
