I don't even really like having the Kiox 300 screen on my bike so I can't see me putting my phone on it but I guess that's Bosch's solution to not having maps on the Kiox. I don't fancy my phone's chances of survival if I bin it on a jump or something.
Out of interest where does it plug into...
🤣 I figured that would be the case, shame it doesn't display Google maps or something. My phone is like 4 years old so the battery doesn't last long while using it as navigation.
I've downloaded a GPX file to my phone and opened it with the Bosch Flow app but I'm wondering how easy the navigation is to follow when in a singletrack/offroad/natural/wooded environment as the Navigation display on the Kiox 300 is pretty basic and doesn't give you any reference points to look...
Not done many miles on my current bike yet but I'm off to a good start. ECO tuned to +5 has kept me out of Tour mode but it's not been on any big steep rides yet so that will definitely change soon 🤣
The crossbar weighs just over 1.1kg to give you an idea, it's way heavier than it looks, I wouldn't want to be hit over the head with it that's for sure. Next time you are near a Halfords go have a look at one. My local Halfords for some reason didn't have any on display but had loads in the...
I thought exactly the same which is why I went to get it half expecting to return it or have to modify it to strengthen it but the stated weight limit is way off, this thing is super sturdy, I expected the thin cheap steel tube that all cheap things seem to be made of nowadays but it's pretty...
I got a Halfords false crossbar today, it's way sturdier and well built than I imagined it would be and it looks to be a perfect solution. All I had to do was tip my Kiox display up a bit out of the way (I keep the bolt on that fairly loose anyway to help during a crash or knock), tuck the Kiox...
I'm pretty sure seat posts are subjected to forces in multiple directions when in use, especially when sat on while climbing up hills, and when doing wheelies. But yeah, there's sever reasons why I'm not totally comfortable holding the bikes entire weight from the dropper stantion anyway.
The top tube of a lot bikes in this thread simply isn't the right size or shape to clamp in a normal workstands clamp. And clamping carbon with with the amount of force needed to secure an ebike is most definitely not good for the carbon at all, it's not at all designed to be stressed that way...
My mates '22 Cube had a creak from new that sounded just like cranks but it turned out that dropper post outer cable down near the motor just needed pulling on slightly, somehow some of the slack that was supposed to be on the outside of the frame managed to get inside the frame so just pulling...
I take it these bike beam/false crossbars are resting up under the stem? Just had a look at my bike and I'm pretty sure it would be squashing the cables if I tried using one?
My '23 is pretty much silent, but it's only done about 25 miles so far. My mates '22 had that creak from new, took a while to figure out what it was but was an easy fix.
A mate of mine had a creak on the same bike, turned out it was one the cables that pop out of the frame down near the motor just needed pulling on a little to take up some slack that was inside the frame. It sounded very much like a bottom bracket or crank type creak/knock you can get on normal...
Well eBay is hampering my sale somewhat. Something to look out for when listing items on there.
My listing doesn't always show up when results are sorted by 'Highest Price First' which I feel like is a popular way to sort when searching so I'm not reaching my whole potential audience. eBay...
