The universal problem with mountain biking is well getting to the top, upon arrival the lighter and longer travel (generally) bike you have the better the ride down. In my case, my "mountain" is 55 minutes of lung and gut busting misery in grannie gear compared to 20 minutes of lung and gut...
Unless you are getting a big discount (more than 20%) better to buy 2020, better components and resale, you could also drop back to comp with 700wh battery, minor internal fork upgrade and you would have an equivalent or better bike. My LBS in Switzerland will give me 15% off 2020 models.
Interesting, I had a look at the Swiss site and 2020s are Brose but they are clearing out the 2019s for Chf4400 but don't clearly give specs. Website is clunky the hybrid concept is worth a look, any range extenders for Fazua?
Maybe you should change your bike shorts and seat? It won't help with grip but will be a lot more comfortable in ass clenching moments!
I am faced with a similar dilemma, the last section of my ride is always the same heavy clay and root garden. Tyres can't overcome my lack of skill or fatigue...
As you can see from my avatar I have a Nissan Navara, a few years old but works a treat and is very comfortable to drive. I would avoid a Ford Ranger a for the simple reason the tailgate is a lot higher than the others, VW Amarok is a nicer cabin but under powered unless you get the V6 and the...
Well my good man, l know what a bag of rocks or potatoes feels like but please explain what a bag of dicks feel like and the occasion to feel this said bag of dicks?
It wouldn't be a new Specialized without a few obvious short comings which the office boy could see and overcome.
Security GPS tracker.
External USB plug for lights or phone charging.
25mm internal width wheels, nuff said.
Chain stay length, if you want to build a monster truck then 29s should...
Maybe ride it first?
I have one and plan on keeping it but looking at fork upgrade as done here.
Upgrading 2018 Pike to 2020 Lyric Ultimate - Is it worth it - EMTB Forums
It is worth changing the front tyre and keeping it for the rear, butcher in the rear works for me.
I will also go mullet...
Probably so you have the option of fitting a 29 x 2.1, which every Kenevo needs!
Jokes aside, if it did fit it might make a DIY long travel Levo an option.
Unless you're flush with cash I would stick with what you have, AUD is not worth shit so price rise will be significant. Old Kenevos are priced at about 90cents to USD and you will be riding this week.
If you go with the upgrades then they will go on your next bike so a base model 2021 or so...
I do the same using my Sportiva mid hiking boots and while it looks shit they are comfortable and grip. Very much personal preference but super stiff soles mimic the soles of my old clip ins, plus if I need to walk then I am well covered as well.
Yes and yes, emphasis turbo is a get out of jail free card so adjust support up in the lower modes until fitness and skills improve then lower it, primarily using trail modes.
It's a bit hard to tell from the photos but would it be possible to remove the external seals without disassembly and replace with a better quality seal? Or insert a wide thin sleejve in seal housing so 2 smaller outside diameter seals can be fitted ie a retrofit seal upgrade kit people can fit...
If you want the 700w battery then 2020 Comp aluminium is the best value buy in, better fork than 2019 and resale value being a year younger. My LBS does 15% off retail year around and he tells me Specialised is not discounting 2019 trade prices to retailers at this stage so no across the board...
