In Orbea web:

You can download the Rise Bluepaper with instructions and diagramas. In page 56 you can see the routing of the cables, it is easy to route the light wires in parallel to the SD300 cables from motor to display, but as said before, the...
Try to delete the Steps device in the phone BT menu and start pairing it from scratch.
Also, make sure you are using the correct BT password.
If you have used other APPS (like STUNLOCK), exit the APP before using etube.
Good luck
Well, in this case with same bike, motor, battery, the only different parameter between both batteries is the rider. I suppose that your wife is thinner than you, so could it be that you use more juice from the battery and deep discharge it? Deep discharge and storing the battery with low...
The majority of failing batteries are internal ones, external behave much better, mine is stellar, 98% after 42 cycles and 3800Km. And I do not think Shimano is using different cells or BMS, it is just a different repack.
Some bike manufacturers may improve cooling of the internal battery by...
My last theory isthat the internal battery could overheat because of it being in a closed tube in the frame. External batteries have better behaviour and they have very good cooling outside the frame.
My battery BT-E8010 (External) has 3600Km, 42 Charge cycles and 98% Health.
I ride mainly in ECO, some times in Trail and Boost only in challenging trails.
Climate is dry with temperatures ranging from 2-20ºC in winter to 30-35ºC in summer with little rain or mud.
After a ride I store the...
This error looks like it is internal to the display, so it should be changed in warranty. I had mine changed in warranty because it was not fully hermetic and moisture was showing in the display and obscuring the numbers
I do not know which spec you are reading, but display does not have an internal battery. MAnuals are here:

Batteries probably do have FW, but it has never been updated, as it can be seen in the Shimano FW Update listing:
https://bike.shimano.com/en-EU/e-tube/project/firmware.html
There are 2 pins for low current Control Signals and two pins to power the motor, but the current is not Split into both,, but one is 36V and the other one is 0V or Ground
I am sorry to bring the bad news after you have already installed the connector, but according the description in eBay, the Current Rate of this connector is 5 Ampers, but the DU-EP8000 motor current draw is:
Motor Maximum Power Output is 250W, so the Maximum current draw will be = 250W/36V =...
This was some time ago, and I already replaced my SC-E8000 for a SC-E7000, so I can not try it.
Anyway, the display has its own FW, last one is Ver. 4.0.7 (Description in Shimano FW web is Error Correction) dated Dec 2017 check if you already have it. My display came with an older FW version...
Looks like Shimano is very conservative to obsolete and replace products with design errors, so it may happen that BMS is faulty and degrades battery. Probably a japanese design manager will have to commit seppuku, but that'll be all, and Shimano will not replace the faulty device.
A good...
As this is a long thread where the useful information has appeared gradually, to fully understand the process you'll have to read and digest all the pages. I already did it and I wrote a summary for myself, but I thought it could be useful for everybody and I posted it here:
20230731: I...
