yeah there great for that and parking in towns, that was the appeal for me over say a sprinter, our loo goes in the awning which is an ok compromise. I have the Porta potti which is higher than normal so that helps!!
I did my Transit custom, for adventuring, not done much though due to covid restrictions, probably used about 5 times and its been amazing, love the thing but i may be selling to fund a house move, will be moving closer to all the places i love so the van wont really be needed any more so thats...
The Wold's have also been incredibly busy, i'm on the bike for 7am and normally dont see a sole, now people are everywhere. Thats a good thing in one respect but some of the bridle ways are just mud tracks due to all the foot fall.
So we will be soon coming out of lockdown and we shall be free-ish to roam once again. I'm sure many of you like me have been watching loads of youtube vids on bike parks, trails and such like just dreaming of the day to get out and ride some decent stuff. I know some are very fortunate to live...
yeah the likes of amazon etc and home build campers have driven the price right up currently. I was tempted to sell and do another but a replacement van is too expensive at the mo.
Not sure, i used the 2 different shimano chargers on my testing but didn't go in depth at all. Didnt want to keep using the Van batteries when the van's not actually being used!! not long now hopefully. In my thread on my van it gives a little info, post #9 Transit Custom EMTB Camper van...
i get approx 3 chargers on 504wh shimano batteries out of 160ah. i have 2 x 180ah in my camper, so really i only have 180ah useable due to depth of discharge(50%). if you only have 1x 110ah, you really only have 55ah and wit that im not so sure it will even charge a 700wh battery even once fully.
thanks for the tips Andy, i'll try some brake cleaner! as for the coolbox/fridge, i need to check for power consumption etc when i can actually use the camper!! :(
Another Cassette and chain!!! averaging around 1200 miles per set so not that bad considering i'm out all weathers and from basically nov-march i just ride in the muddy fields of lincolnshire!!!
The spec on that Torque looks great for the price, the Spectral not so much. Is XTR really needed on an ebike???? a month riding in the british winter and its pretty much had it.
need something like the link below, some LBS will have them, just take your wheel and tyre to them, wouldn't of thought they'd charge you if you know them. I've tried all sorts and nothing works for me, tube, zip ties, ratchet strap. Not tried petrol though...
