    Insurance recomendations

Looking to insure our 2 e-bikes, who would you go with?? Would prefer to keep separate to house. As value do i put RRP as the price I paid was £1.5k less on mine?

    Deurallier vibration

Oh trust me i know how lucky I was, 1st thing I checked was the price of a new deurallier and I thought, WTF have i done. Thankfully big lesson learned and in future I'll research stuff I don't know 1st. The Park tool guy is great also. For now everything is adjusted which I believe is correct...

    Deurallier vibration

I'll be taking a look at the B-tension tomorrow, so thanks for that. I know there's no shame taking it to the LBS but I like to have a go myself, always have done. Last chain I did was on a BMX i think and that was probably around 35 year's ago give or take and as for di2 never touched one. Made...

    Deurallier vibration

Thanks Graham, just did a quick 16 mile test, sounded smooooth this time apart from jumping a bit in 11th. The top jockey wheel does look like its past the bottom sprocket, went into menu to look for adjustments, found it but wont let me adjust for some reason.

    Deurallier vibration

That's perfect thank you, just adjusted and it runs spot on, off for a ride! Thanks for all your help, most appreciated ;)

    Deurallier vibration

On Di2?? It shifts into each gear fine, chain just goes slack but if I turn the clutch thing off(forwards) it springs back and it's fine.

    Deurallier vibration

All sorted, went with a new chain instead. Although I have the bike on the stand and the deurallier does not always go all the way back so chain goes slack, will take it for a spin shortly to see if it works better under load.

    Deurallier vibration

Could just get another snap link I suppose and add the links between the 2

    Deurallier vibration

Thanks for that, 110 links, does seem tight going onto 1st. Can I reattach the links I have removed or do I now need a new one?

    Deurallier vibration

Does this look right? What position should the clutch be in, it was opposite to what it is now but the chain was slack in 11th. Had to remove a couple of extra links, not sure if I've taken out 1 too many? Also the lower jockey wheel, is that worn?

    Deurallier vibration

So glad I'm not the only one! I still can't believe all the miles I've covered with it like this. In my defence it's the first chain I've changed in many years, I normally do 95% of my maintenance and let my LBS do the rest, this time though I did not want to leave my bike as I need that at the...

    Deurallier vibration

    Deurallier vibration

I wouldn't of thought so, but I will check in the morning. Damn got me thinking now, I hope not!! It does feel very clunky, can't of done, rode about 200 miles since new chain.

    Deurallier vibration

On my e120 with XT Di2 drivetrain the deurallier vibrates, a bit in 2nd but mainly 1st and it's quite aggressive. Changed the cassette to an SLX and it had a new chain about 3 weeks ago. When pedalling something does not feel right, just wondering if I got the correct chain.

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

As summer's about here and the ground drying up I thought I'd try some new rubber. Been running E-wilds 27.5 x 2.6 and there great, bags of grip and rock solid. Never had a puncture or gash. So as I am in the wolds in Lincolnshire there is nothing demanding so I should be ok with my new choice...

    Loose cassette

No, at the time just thought I needed new chain, only when i checked chain also inspected cassette for wear as no point replacing one and not the other.

    Loose cassette

This was my thoughts as I've not had one loose before. I've not had the cassette off thought I'd leave that to the bike shop as the freehub etc will need checking. I know they eat through chains which is why I thought it was skipping. I never change gear under load, like I said I'm always...

    Loose cassette

I'd agree with tightening it up but now there's quite a few teeth missing and I need a new chain, so should I pay for that???

    Loose cassette

On my merida e120 900e so where on di2 XT I've been jumping about in 11th (Oh bikes done around 850km) and then more recently 10&11 so just just chain and it's pretty much 0.9 so defo needs replacing. Thought I'd check for wear on cassette and that ain't brilliant but also the whole things loose...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Nothing exciting here, just a bleed kit for the brakes, the forks have had a service and the UK's weather finally took it's toll on my headset, so new bearings in there. I ought to check my pads really, can't see there being much life left on them tbh.
