I’ve done 10,000 km’s on the Volspeed V3 with the non-smart Bosch gen 4 625wh.
I only had one detection error after riding in torrential rain after 6 months, the Volspeed inline connections are not waterproof, had corroded badly and where wet.
I replaced the speed sensor, due to corrosion, and...
Shimano Linkglige is cheap at the moment:
Complete 10 speed M5130 derailleur, shifter, cassette and chain can be had for €110 before tax...
H&S Bike-Discount GmbH
Well worth the investment at this price.
@Coopixer a complete 10-speed Shimano Linkglide set, including derailleur, shifter, cassette and chain can be had for just over €100 before tax... Shimano claims 3x more durable and 3x smoother shifting, cassettes are all steel.

I might add I tried to purchase a bike for my bro in Aus and couldn't find anything suitable so I ended up buying him a low mileage 2nd hand Bosch CX 4 powered bike in the UK and took it on the plane with me!
Hi @bdaearth
I see your point about the price of the Volition, it is hard to beat that in AUs.
What size frame do you ride as I see the Large is $500 cheaper than the Medium!?
I assume the choice between the 120nm or 90nm is the difference between the M510 or M600 motors, but the price is the...
I get it @SwampNut, but is it massive? Teslas are amazing for a number of reasons but don't drink the Kool-Aid.
An ICE vehicle is probably in the area of £1000 per 100,000 miles for a brake service, which would be two pad replacements and one disc change, so maybe you do that every 200,000...
Just a thought...
One could purchase the X0 Eagle Transmission minus the new 'derailleur' and run the current AXS mech or even a good old cable puller, setup cost would be just over £1k for AXS and £730 for cables.
You miss out on the full shifting-under-load experience but you get the benefit...
I did this from UK to Australia…
I sold the battery in the UK and walked into a shop and purchased a new one in Australia then took the bike with me on the plane.
It was basically a 1:1 exchange, I wouldn’t bother transporting the battery.
Hi Bob, tubeless doesn’t require an insert such as cushcore, that is only for heavy DH use where impacts are expected.
Once your rim is set up tubeless the rest is not really different to changing tyres with a tube.
Get an Air Shot inflator and the process is easy.
The benefits are great, apart...
Nice one Dave. Is the surface pitted or is that just residue from the chemical process?
I was surprised with soda blasting at how smooth and clean my frame came out.
I had my Mondraker soda blasted. I was going to clear coat or polish it but I liked the look so much i just left it raw.
A quick rub with a scotch bright pad makes it pop again. 😎
I just fitted the 10speed Linkglide… One of the greatest advantages that I see which i have not read mentioned anywhere is the chain wrap! This is greatly improved, i guess because they have done away with the B-link.
I was always confused why Shimano used a B-Link and had poor chain wrap.
Hi @venicenerd, theoretically you could change the motor to a US version already set up with the 32km/h limit, but you would not be able to do any updates or troubleshooting because if you need to take it to a service centre in the EU they will set it back to 25km/h limit. Otherwise, you could...
Ohh I linked 29r’s i see you have 27.5…
Looking at the split i would bet that the edge profile of your rim played its part in splitting the bead from the casing.
Ardent Race 2.20 29 comes in a 120 or 60 tpi casing, the 60 being a little heavier and more durable.

I had the same issue. You need this tool to adjust the mounting brackets.
