@ShinySideUp I would be interested in which fork you go for. My Mondraker came with a Rockshox Judy Silver, it is a low end air fork in the grand scheme of things but has been totally adequate for my riding, even on big mountain rides.
Especially compared to a mates bike who ended up with a...
Totally agree, having owned a de-restricted Bosch bike for a over a year and having flogged the absolute pants off it in all weather and terrain I would happily by 2nd hand. I did for my wifes bike!
I even had to remove the motor and sent it to Homepage - eBike Motor Centre (Performance Line...
I only change tyres seasonally depending on where I am working. I normally have the Thunder Burt's on, they are fast, as I was mostly on hard-pack trails and roads. There is no one tyre that can do it all so it comes down to personal choice. I would be really happy with the 120 SL 750, anything...
As a note. With the Mondraker 625wh hardtail I can ride 42miles St Albans to London and back in trail mode, derestricted, as fast as my legs can take me. Door to door is about 1hr each way and loads of fun. It's a relatively flat route, riding slowly greatly increases range. Tyre drag, speed and...
Comparison of the Cube Stereo 120 vs 140 2022 750wh
The 120 is 1kg heavier due to the Alu vs Carbon.
Also to note is that the 120 has a longer chainstay, I guess for climbing?? I've not ridden a bike with a longer chainstay so I can't comment.
The other thing to consider is that the 120 has a...
Ridewill.it Have the derailleur and Cassttee in stock but not the shifter ;)
Bike-Discount.de only have the derailleur for 10speed.
Note that Bike-Discount state a minimum order of £175, no idea why!? and you still need to pay VAT at your end.
cheers,
Do you have a motor specialist Stateside for a 2nd opinion?
I have used Homepage - eBike Motor Centre (Performance Line Bearings) here in the UK to repair my Gen4 Bosch, which was still in warranty but I didn't want to wait. Ended up needing the Torque sensor replaced due to water ingress.
I tried a similar approach and tested a Fazua equipt road bike, it was terrible! Road bikes are so light and fast you are at the motor cut-off immediately, on a climb I couldn’t feel the motor doing anything… the assistance was so subtle, but I am use to a Bosch performance Cx.
I asked the shop...
I'm originally from Melbourne, so I'm familiar with the "Toorak tractors"..!
I ended up buying my bro a KTM Macina Kapoho in the UK and took it home for Xmass with me for him, as there was nothing that I could find close that matched his riding style in Aus! I chose the KTM because it has the...
Yeah, I already have 2 different wheelsets, 2.1 Racing Ralph for the commutes, they are on 80% of the year at the moment. and 2.6 Maxxis Rekon for the mountain adventures.
I would definitely get a shock lockout for the road miles but I would still want a 120mmish travel bike for the geometry...
I just saw Robs video of the Focus Thron, 130mm, it nearly ticks all the boxes but at 26kgs!? it's a miss... That's as heavy as my brothers' KTM Machina enduro bike. Sure the Thron has the bigger battery but that is only 1kg, why so heavy Focus?
I ride a Mondraker Prime 120mm hardtail, it is light and fast. I use it a lot to commute, city and country, long fast miles. I also enjoy epic long days out in the mountains exploring peaks.
I have found its limits though and not where I thought a hardtail would be... climbing steep bumpy stuff...
They are hiking up Sticks Pass!? That video shows a different route down, further south, Dollywagon Pike.
You want to go Clockwise on that link I posted.
see an alternate route here, with a few more rides available: Lake District Routes - LakesMTB
