As an alternative to contact adhesive, consider hot melt glue. The use of zip ties is not just a good tip to secure the protector whist the glue sets, but is also a second alternative (ie no glue).
Yet another alternative that I used when I took my mtb to the Alps was to cut an inner tube and...
@hiro I would take @irie 's question seriously. Survey the nearest, even if they are up to 2-3 hours away! ebikes are not just a bike with a motor, they come with potential problems with motor, battery, charger, software, display, sensors and wiring. And someone on here will surely add to that...
Even the straps of my backpack were soddened!
Thanks for the selfie @weiran and your company. My gloves were soddened and so were my fingers. I didn't want to get my camera out of my soddened backpack in case I got it wet. I'm glad that my waterproof and breathable jacket lived up to its name...
Does wearing extra protection increase the risks we are prepared to take? Such that we ride just that little bit too far outside our skill envelope? Frequently we get away with it, sometimes we don't.
I've had one of them, it went right down to my calf.
I've had worse, but no pics.
I went OTB and landed with both thighs across a log. At the time I thought that I had broken both thigh bones (or at least cracked them). But my rock -hard muscles saved me from that fate. :)
The bruises emerged...
Well that became a wet one!
Only @weiran turned up in the end. The ride started well in sunshine and warmth. The trails were wet from last night's rain and we picked up quite a bit of mud. We got an hour before it started to spot. Just as we got to the Vicar Water Cafe it started to rain, so we...
Thanks for letting me know.
It should be clear when setting up, but with some showers for the rest of the day.

I know what you mean. Early on in my MTB ownership I used to ride so far back when descending steep stuff that control could be become a bit dodgy. I was cured when I went on an MTB skills course run by Tony Doyle (aka the Jedi). He videoed me before and after his intervention. He had me...

For me a "scooter" is either one of these:
OR it's one of these
Either can come with an electric motor, but neither are suitable for trails. Both are used for commuting, but the electric stand up one is probably illegal (widely ignored it would seem).
i would not be seen dead on either...
Saturday's weather has a few showers, see here:

It wasn't me that pinched the wires; it was the main dealer tech guy. The fix would have been expensive except it was a warranty claim. I believe that the pinched control wire cost £7, but took a week to arrive. God knows what the labour cost would have been!
My bike is EP8, but I don't believe it is any different to EP801 in terms of the settings.
I don't believe that the settings on the bike are standard from day 1 (mine was different to other Shimano powered emtbs). Therefore, a new owner really ought to take charge and set them to suit...
I can't help with the detail instructions, sorry.
However, I have had the battery replaced under warranty on my Focus Jam2. The design and layout are very similar to your bike. It is very tight in there and you must be very careful not to trap or pinch the control wires. Even if the wires are...
I came across this ebike yesterday, took this pic:
Single speed, 3 modes, 14" wheels, 250W motor
The guy had been riding it for about a year and thought it was wonderful. He used it for moving about the town, going to work, shopping etc. Said he got about 20 miles out of a charge. Said it...
I'm not a Trekkie, so I don't recognise the spec changes. Trekkies on here will know how to get the mileage, if it is possible.
Good luck with the sale, but why on earth are you selling it?
