Identify the model of this focus e mbt.

The Police just want to get rid of it and if they don't know what it is then they will probably have no idea what it's worth. Bearing in mind @Zimmerframe 's comment, then it might need a new motor sooner than you think. If you are keen on it, then make a low bid and you still have some money in...

Levo Gen 3 Crankshaft moving sideways

Note: I have never owned a Levo. I'm surprised that no-one from the Levo owners have commented on this. That movement may be perfectly normal for the Levo motor. But I would not be happy to have that movement on my Shimano motor.

    Specialist helmets

When I went into a large bike shop to buy my first MTB helmet, I was prepared to spend up to £80 if I absolutely had to. I had no idea on brand, colour size, shape, nothing; I was a complete novice. It was the first headgear of any kind that I had bought in my life and I wasn't looking forward...

    Rear disc below 1.5mm minimum.

i have no idea how to explain this difference in view. The 1.92 mm I measured is only 0.17 mm larger than the disc you measured, which is less than 0.007". Maybe we are only differing over measurement accuracy?

    Pic of the Day

Repair! There is loads of life left in those yet. :)

    Rear disc below 1.5mm minimum.

My rotors are not new, they are on the original 2021 model of the Merida eOne-Sixty that I bought 3 years ago, so the rotors are at least that old, maybe older as I bought the bike mid-year. But following your question, I went out and measured again, only this time I used a vernier calliper...

What’s it with people walking and don’t move out the way in cycle lanes

A mate of mine (R.I.P.) was cycling with his dog and met a big guy walking up the trail with three Dobermans. At the time, my mate was in his mid 60's and looked older because he was recovering from his third bout of cancer. The big guy knocked him off his bike and while he was on the floor the...

What did you do to your EBike this week?

Nice bit of creative "get you home". :) Was it your dog that introduced the branch into the spokes? :ROFLMAO:

    Rear disc below 1.5mm minimum.

Thanks for taking the time to reply everyone! :) A nice mix of ride, go careful and not sure! I am taking that from the replies because it's what I wanted to do anyway, which is ride! To those who may have some concern for my welfare, I won't be hurtling down any mountains (not in Lincolnshire...

    Rear disc below 1.5mm minimum.

I measured my discs today, both are "Shimano Steps Ice Tech FREEZA rotors, 203mm". The front is RT-EM900, the rear (with the magnet) is RT-EM910. Both are 1.96mm thick in the unworn sections. Both have "1.5 mm minimum thickness" engraved on the disc. The front one measures 1.68 mm (OK), the rear...

    Does This Need Replacing?

I have looked very carefully at the image of the old cassette, even blown it up on the screen. There are some signs of wear, but not many. Some of the tips of the teeth have small burrs caused by excessive pressure from the chain rollers forcing the metal of the teeth over to the sides of the...

What did you do to your EBike this week?

In the early hours this morning I woke up thinking about how I measured my disc brake thickness (see post#100). I decided to check it today and I had made a mistake. :( Both discs measured 1.96mm thick on the unworn area. The discs are engraved with "1.5mm minimum thickness". The front disc...

Levo Gen 3 Levo Gen 3 : No firmware updates in about 2 years

New motor from Speccy on the way? Edit: That was a question, it was not a statement. Not based upon any inside knowledge.

Butt or I should say shorts hit back tire when I sit on seat going over big bumps.

I never sit on the seat when going over big bumps. I used to get my arse buzzed when descending when on a 29er, but that's different. I fitted a rear mudguard of the blade variety. It didn't stop the contact, but the mudguard stopped mud and stones being shoved into my shorts. The problem was...

What did you do to your EBike this week?

After a very wet and gritty ride the bike needed a bloody good clean, if only to stop it making that awful scraping noise! # Once clean and dry, I lubed the stanchions on the suspension and also the chain and mech. # I removed the callipers front and rear and cleaned up the whole area...

    Lets discuss uphill crashing.

To use the term "running" was a slight exaggeration! I doubt anyone could actually "run" down Jacob's Ladder, it's too loose and rocky. More of a fast scramble! I haven't been for several years and it may be worse now, or God forbid has been "improved" for better access for walkers!

    Lets discuss uphill crashing.

In my mtb days, I did superman on Jacob's Ladder (Peak District, England). As I soared through the air, I turned it into a forward roll, landed on my backpack, continued to roll and landed upright on my feet. I waited for the pain to come, but nothing, nothing at all. I could see my bike...
