See below mine came with a 3 pawl freehub but going by the novatec part number it should of been a 5 pawl. I bought the 5 pawl and been fine since. I oil rather than grease.
Freehub body F type, Shim.11, steel 5-pawls
I use a mixture of Komoot, trailforks and OS maps. I like Komoot for it's sat nav for bike feel. The problem is Komoot is good for known ways but poor for trails. I usually go to trailforks, find a trail I like the look of (sometimes using heat map mode to find the most popular) then click find...
Although not a Munro I recently done Meall a' Bhuachaille which is a pretty steep ascent which required hike-a-bike. I didn't find it too bad to be honest. That was with a spare battery in my backpack too. I plan on doing a few Munros! Roll on the end of lockdown. Torridon looks amazing!!
I've done the same to my Shimano e8000 plenty of times... As long as you're not pressure washing and you allow to dry before connecting the battery there's no issues.
Short sighted for a bike shop to turn down work due to the bike not being purchased through them if you ask me. Losing a potential future customer. I think most people would look to spend a bit more with the shop should they help them out.
