Could be.. They do sell it as being comparable with v7 though.. I'll maybe try downgrading to v4.6 again. I tried once before and failed although I didn't persevere as I was too eager to get out on the thing.
Has anyone made any successful warranty claims on faulty/failed motors after de-restricting? If so what method did you use to de-restrict?

I treat 4 bars as 75%, 3 bars as 50%, 2 bars as 30% then 1 bar as 10%. Its a rough guide but it works better when you look at like that. My first few rides I thought I had much more left than I actually did. As RocketMagnet said it's non-linear and depends on how hard you're working the motor.
I think we have every right to complain and expect better service when ordering such a high value bike. Their systems are not working correctly. I didn't even get an update that mine was shipped and certainly not a tracking number. I get tracking for for a £5 item off of ebay, it's just not on...
Update: The bike was shipped on the 3rd and is sitting in Perth. If the status had changed on the "my order" section if the CRC site or any one of the 4 different customer service advisors I have spoken to in the last few days had just told me that it would of saved everyone hassle. Still...
