They are tremendous brakes, but a little tip......take care when using the reservoir port screws..... they are made of ?

Not all carbon bars are stiff, I run 2 sets, and on my xc bike flat bars with carbon bar ends ( yes, I know it’s old school) but you can feel light flex when climbing aggressively, they also kill loads of vibration.

Hardtail are great fun, cheaper and less hassle, I have one and love it! Sure, it’s not a comfortable as a plush full Susser but with larger tyres, ( mine are 2.6, 2.8s even better) lower pressures you get a fair amount of comfort over stones and the like, you just need to nurse the rear a bit...

Thrunton is really popular, my son rides there a lot, travels up fro m Ryton. It’s really technical in the woods, I had a massive off there 2 years ago, destroying my ankle ☹️, .....hey ho

Going e-bike has brought a new kind of crash to my already substantial crash portfolio....... going up a steep techy climb I got my front wheel stuck between 2 big roots, tipped sideways and expected a gentle sideways fall, but the gradient was steeper than expected and I went backwards back...

All my broken bones have been slow techy stuff, last fast “off” I had I remember getting up and thinking “ how did I get away with that?”..... next morning however I was aching!

Agree with you here....it’s similar to motorcycle trail riding, it’s legal to ride some places (RUPP’s)... but then you get idiots on Mx bikes, full blown enduro bikes ripping the place up.....then all motorcyclists are branded as tw*ts

What’s the fun in riding on a path that has loads of people using it on foot, Apart from them “ kicking off”.... ( and rightfully so)you end up having to watch for children and dogs running under your wheels.....no fun IMO And how do you make out that horses have a right to ride on paths...

Glad your sorted.... You will love the Sentier, it’s slack angles make you want to jump over anything along your route.....really great fun. enjoy

Naughty naughty....... you must have other places-to go play? To be honest where is the fun in riding where people walk dogs etc....why not .go find a trail centre or head to the back of beyond for some e venturing....?
