Used to be an Endura fan but find their stuff hit or miss these days, with variable quality. Order two pairs of same style shorts in same size, but one as way smaller than the other.
As for trail pants, I’ve recently bought a pair of Nukeproof Blackline. Quite a light stretchy material, so...
Yeah, you will definitely need to remove the cassette from the hub to access the bearings. Hub will be a Whyte branded one made by an outside company (probably Novatec) . Difficult to determine who as Whyte won’t tell you. They should be able to tell you correct bearing size and number though...
The Garmins you mention will navigate you on road but the screen will be pretty small to read while driving. They also don’t have any voice directions so you’d be reliant on checking the screen all the time. Not very safe while driving.
Entered this and thought it might be of interest to others.

Had initially been looking at the Enjoyro event but thought this sounded similar but also quite intriguing.
Hoping my fitness has improved as battery only...
Yeah, I don’t think it would be good for you. Max pressure on these shocks is 325. Megneg needs an extra 20-25% for same sag so you’d be way over recommended.
Sorry for late reply, system hadn’t notified me about it. It was on a Whyte e150 27.5. I’m just over 90kg in my riding gear. Think this may have contributed to my issue as it meant I was running close to 300psi to get correct sag.
What goes up ……
Must come down…..,..
Look closely above my saddle in the first pic and you’ll see the track I came up. That was only 2/3rds of the way the top of the hill in the second picture.
Second photo was taken about 1/3 of the way down when I stopped to check GPS as track split...
No, quite the opposite. I’m 90kg so was already running 240psi. With Megneg and 4 bands fitted I needed 290 to get 30% sag. Never got more than 65-70% travel so was effectively running the whole time in the mid stroke despite hitting the biggest trail features I ride.
The fact I started having...

Did exactly what it was supposed to do and gave excellent mid stroke support and pop, but...
I’ve actually just removed mine from my v1 e150. Did exactly what it was advertised to and gave really good mid stroke pop. Unfortunately even with all four negative bands and no positive spacers I couldn’t achieve full travel even on the biggest stuff I hit. Fiddled about with a few...
How you getting on Mikerb?
Had an interesting turn of events with the bars. 500m into the test ride with the Burgtecs, I knew they weren’t for me. Amazing how small differences can feel huge. Rode my normal full sus at weekend and checked bar height and bar to saddle drop. Both were lower on it...
Use the instructions for the Debonair, this is the solo air version. Crush washer will have been squashed into the bolt and need careful removal with a pick. If you look at the bolt there should be what looks like a black ring surrounding the shaft. This is what happens to the crush washer when...
Sounds slightly overfilled. Can happen if you’ve bled with wrong size bleed block.
I’d undo the lever bleed port and see if any fluid leaks out. Don’t remove completely, but if there is too much fluid the excess should escape as you loosen it. Other possibility is just a thick set of new pads...
Bars arrived and boy are the higher!
No time for a test ride but definitely think you are wasting time with 40mm rise.
35mm clamp area makes bars look like they have less rise than they do. Ones I took off look like barely any rise.
Can’t go far wrong with V12s.
I’ve gone an ordered the 50mm rise Burgtec. Can always drop a spacer if they are too high. Should be delivered today, will post a comparison photo. Renthal make lovely stuff but not sure you’ll notice any difference going to 40mm rise. Pretty sure the alloy ones get...
I think that Whyte just have a really short head tube for the larger sizes. My stock Whyte (e150) bars are also 35mm rise but feel a bit low. Burgtec are on my list too. Have been running an extra 5mm spacer as an experiment. Not ideal as steerer doesn’t have lots of spare, but should be fine...
Only used Muc Off wet once and it was horrific stuff. Not looked back since moving to Rock n Roll Extreme Blue. Use loads per application but lasts ages and doesn’t get mucky. Buy the workshop pack and you get massive refill bottle and a small one with spare nozzles.
Bit the bullet and ordered one.
Was up at Comrie Croft today which is very rocky. Fork felt amazing but rear just feels a bit dead. 30% sag with no tokens and just getting full travel on the biggest drops I have the balls for. Not great on small chattery stuff. Any less air and just wallows in...
