The Levo as it stands with the 2.1 is likely on a three year cycle so you may be right but given how quickly the industry is moving I’d bet numbers for a third year would be low if true. But then, that’s why there’s an SL and a Kenevo. I personally think they need to jump on the Mahle for this...
I don’t find it boring at all. I can do everything I need to do and there’s a nice balance between being able to flick it about (relatively short stays, 27.5”) and it be able to be pointed downhill and it be super stable. I’m 176cm and tried a Levo medium which I found too cramped but the medium...
I have the Surge Factory. I love it, my first ebike and it’s a fantastic ride. Due to ill health (long story) I’d actually put it up for sale before the lockdown hit.
The difference is quite visible by comparing images off the Specialized website. The raw finish makes it look even smaller (as possibly does the lack of bottle cage).
Very similar size to you. I’ve demo’ed a medium Levo and that came up cramped, so much so that I went with my Orange. However, recently I tried a large Levo SL and it felt much better. I’ve not owned either of these though so I’d listen to the owner’s opinions first.
I have a set of Trail Wide Hunt wheels. For various reasons I haven’t ridden them yet but can vouch for the quality, customer service and for how they’re presented.
For the e-bike wheels you’d certainly need to be sure you needed something that well built. They look very heavy. For bigger...
I agree, and also keeping all the weight down low which I suspect has quite a big effect on how bikes like the SL feel on the trail. The e-Sommet does seem to have that weight low down too.
I actually had some of your (and @R120’s) comments in mind when listening and thinking about weight distribution. It’s also made me think a little more about my pack weight too. I’ve been considering that a lot recently anyway due to some physical changes I have to adapt to following an...
Weight weenie-ism has come up a lot on here recently, especially since the Levo SL came out. This short podcast is an interesting listen.

I love a bit of weenie-ing about weight and have done it on most bikes...
Specialized get knocked for their customer support but they’ve really had their work cut out with the Brose situation it seems to me.
When specifying what they wanted from Mahle they have to have addressed a lot of this surely. Let’s see how that SL motor lasts in a non-road/gravel environment.
