@iainc Same size as you. I don’t own one but tested an FF in medium and an SL in large. A year ago I chose a medium Orange Surge (long reach, slacker, more modern-ish geometry) over the FF as it felt much better to me.

As for the cost of the Vado, compared to the silly money price of even the E5 version of the Creo SL they seem cheap. That not withstanding I still like them and I expect I’m not alone.
