If yours is still getting charged then its not the fuse that is blown, and the BMS is still OK. So that would be a different issue than described in this topic. In your case i would look at the power switch first.
If the grease has hardened and turned black, then it has already deteriorated to the point of failure. Most likely due to overheating.
And yeah, that center cog doesnt look to good on the photo.
I still think that your best bet is to replace that set of cogs.
Also because the interval /...
Maybe try cleaning it up and inspect it more carefully. Look for any kind of wear, debris etc. The wear pattern from my photo is from after many many kms of scraping noise (probably well over 1000kms) and several failed attempts of regreasing the gears. So that amount of wear took a long time to...
If you cant find a donor motor and are able to either fix it yourself or know of someone who can fix it for you, your only choice is to buy a new motor. Im not aware of any company who does these kind of repairs. Shimano doesnt provide spare parts for their motors sadly.
BTW, regarding those grinding noises from those inner gears, Shimano did change the design of those gears over time. And probably for the worse sadly. I had one of the later models E8000 (right before the EP8 was introduced) and it suffered from this grinding problem badly.
The donor parts i...
Yeah that is the sound of those 2 inner gears rubbing against each other...
It creates this repeating scratching noise about 2 - 2,5 times the speed of the cranks.
Ive posted about this problem here:

Nope, wrong spindle size. For these smaller 24mm spindle cranks (Aeffect, Aeffect R, Ride) only the AM83 spindle would fit powerplay bikes, but that is OEM only. This is what Rocky Mountain uses for their Ride cranks, but is not available for us.
24mm cranks always have non removable spindles...
I dont think you can purchase cranks separately.
But spindles, yes, in any variation you like.
So you can detach the spindle from Atlas cranks (and Turbine) and replace it with a different size if you like.
What does IPB stand for?
Anyway, the 2 chainrings are different because of the tooth pattern. If you look closely you can see the difference. One is for shimano and the other for SRAM chains if i recall correctly.
Im not aware of any difference between the Dyname 3.0 and 4.0 when it comes to...
Thank you for the additional information.
Good to know the RF151DH will fit the powerplay bikes.
The part number for the 30mm lock ring matches that what i had already found:

That webshop also has a nice overview of the...
The Aeffect R's are the smaller 24mm BB cranks just like the standard Ride cranks that come on lower specced Rocky Mountains.
So if they are similar to the Ride cranks you must buy them with the right spindle length from factory (no aftermarket swapping to a different spindle length possible...
My donor motor does have a spare magnet in it still, so i could sell it to you (provided i can unmount it). The gears i dont have.
However if you buy a complete donor motor for the gears from somewhere else, it would come included with a magnet ring. So then buying the magnet from me doesnt...
Not sure, but i think you could replace that magnet ring if you can get hold of spare parts. That would save your motor from the trash bin.
That unstable gear, yes that could be a problem. At least it was for me. I got an intermittent grinding noise because it would rub against the adjacent...
Oh wait i got confused. You are right, the 6805 is indeed one of the crank axle bearings.
Ok, so if you want that bit of extra protection, go for a better sealed type, but know that it adds a little bit of drag.
If you want to go for the cheaper and Shimano original solution, go for the 6805...
Does it? Those bearings are not the weak point of the design and Shimano didnt put ZZ types in there for no reason. They are not like the crank axle bearings that need good protection for being located right next to the crank seals.
In my opinion the 6805ZZ bearings will outlast the crank axle...
Just get the 6805 ZZ (metal shielding on both sides).
Those bearings dont need sealing from the outside elements. They dont suffer from potential grit ingress like the crank axle bearings do.
So using a LLU type will only add cost and friction. Same goes for the RS version.
You can find for...
Dont know. Mine didnt came with a rubber stop. The fork just rotates all the way. Perhaps its for smaller sized frames only? (i have the XL).
Moe Ped, you seem to be missing the black protective covers on the underside of the downtube?
Also why did you swap you maxxis tyres to identical non oem...
