RM is kind of apart in my opinion. I guess you know they offer a new guide that elimates the chain noise. The feel(short chain stay) will be different and i would not consider the price. If you like riding RM i think it is your bike.
Often the best buy is about the best fit.
Go to a shop you trust or ask around wich shop is trustworthy go talk there.
Try for at least 60 min. Some brand will never fit you but some will.
If you like it, you spend time not using too much assist, you will likely be fitter.
Try different places...
My only question is when you are on the pedals can you still move forward/backward like on 170mm(enough balance)? I am hesitating between 160 or less, now on 165 that are not that bad but a tad too long for where i ride. Thanks
We read different things. Some say i do not need FS at my age no big jumps.
Also others say at my age FS is needed. Well at 61 i have lots of fun on my Ebike HT.
Ya no big jumps for me. If you want a quick turner, short chainstay Marin is an option. If you prefer longuer, more stable Giant long...
Do not scroll to the middle you would not like learning stuff
hint they recommand my # for PSI
Guide to 29er, 27.5, and 25.5 Plus Bike Tire size - BikeSource | Bike Shop
It seems you do not understand tires with more volume use less PSI, like on road bikes many are around 90 PSI.
So you decided to kill our older ancesters, not nice.
I am not a star, no camera, no selfie. Maybe you missed my Ebike has 27.5x40mm rims. Front i have a 3.0, rear 2.8. I often pedal 11kms to the trails, play there and pedal back. That is why i bought my first Ebike. Last winter on my 4.8 tires i was generaly 4-6 PSI on 90 mm rims. When my bike was...
If you know what you like hopefully you can afford it and get it.
But telling everyone they should ride them makes no sense.
My 120 is fun in expert trails. I am not planning to do double black.
The thing is to nail a nail on the head we use a hammer.
Buy a 170mm it will be less fun, less challenging.
You will have to go fast so your mistake = injured.
You need 120 you buy 120.
You need 140 you buy 140.
I spent time on 100 mm having fun.
Now i spend time on 120 mm having fun.
I felt...
I also like the majority of previous suggestions.
I would like to add
shorter crank arms please.
My bike came with 175, after 2 months i switched to 165, Much Better and my inseems is 34.5inches
If that helps you i am near montreal, i could go to a shop, i guess if you send them the money they will accept to ship to some address but inform yourself about shipping expenses, duties, taxes to know the real total price before ordering. I read about some haibike happy customer with their...
I own a Yamaha so i know the motor, over 3,600 kms no issue.
It is a heavy bike designed to go straight, so depending on what you enjoy it might be a bike you will enjoy. I read on the Giant and generaly owners seems pleased.
I am a Canadian i can only suggest you email them or write to them on their facebook page. I did and got a quick answer. Good luck. I demoed their Emountain bike and liked the playfull handling.
if we all make 1 positive suggestion. Some brand will see better brakes are wanted, or suspension, or tires, etc... We can simply name our Ebike, year, brand, model and 1 thing we feel would make it better for us. The retailers, distributors and manufacturers will know what We appreciate and...
The 11-36 offers less range than the 11-40 i would use and demands more shifts.
The 11-36 is an old cassette designed pre-Ebikes. I do not need that close cogs.
My Ebike came with a 10S 11-36. Day 1 i switched to 10S 11-42. When it is due to change i am thinking of replacing it with a 10S 11-46. I do not need that 46 so i simply would use 9S. This would generate less shifting and less need for 2 shifts in a row.
Have you used a 10S 11-46? What brand...
