Often it is about personalizing. Maybe add 10 mm front? Maybe tokens? It obviously depends on our weight, where we ride, how we ride. I started with 120 front, at maintenance i will try 130 mm, just curious. Different brake pads?
My Yamaha 2017 started with 175, i am now on 165 on my HT Haibike i am having a hard time finding 155 or at least 160. Thanks for your help. The fit is square.
I looked at Miranda and they have 6 sides, my 2017 Yaamaha has 4 sides(square), do you have any idea where 155 or 160 are available? Thanks
Ps. I started with 175, now i have 165.
My rear last 8 weeks is 2.8x27.5 on 40 mm Rekon best in my opinion. Some use 2 Rekon. In 3C they are fast with enough grip. If you prefer 3.0 Chronicle is my front.
Going shorter is lighter. For what you enjoy 120 is plenty. I could go to 130 in 2 months when the maintenance is done. I have fun in expert trails it is about proper tires, proper PSI and proper technique. Ask people where you ride for proper tires.
Choosing is personal so i can only offer my view.
The lighter = more bike feeling even more for a small rider like me. I got lucky i found for my first Ebike a 47 pounds. 120 mm HT and i love it. It has 40 mm rims so lots of traction. I would not see me on anything over 50 pounds. Also the price...
I am realy not a techy, i have no clue how it works or make any difference. I guess 1 difference is draining the battery faster but if it is a concern i guess you would opt for the model with the large battery. It is the one i demoed for 2 hours. I am not planning to go for such a price tag but...
I know Giant uses Yamaha motors, Haibike uses some Yamaha systems.
Other than that where may i find them?
Here in Quebec, Canada our options seems limited.
You can email a manufacturer for info, bike, tire, etc... Online you will get correct info and other stuff. Also talk with your LBS a good relation is important.
