I think you proved something.
We cannot believe what we hear. We cannot believe what we read.
It is realy personal. Our physionomy, our weight, our skills level, our personal preferences, where we ride. For my level 27+ is great, maybe in 2 years it will be different. I think the 8 speeds is...
Ya an average might be 7 watts / km but full assist can drain a battery depending on weight, hills, wind. Using our gears helps to improve range. My display shows in real time energy consumption and it varies from 1 to 10.
A bike is a bike. Every expert tells me mine are too small. They are all wrong. I can pedal every day for 5 hours pain free. Our body is unique and might not fit any size on the floor room.
#1 pain free knees. All my bikes have the saddle set at 30.25 in high except .025 variation.
# 2 find the...
I use a 10 S 11-42 it offers enough range and not too many shifting is needed.
I had a similar cassette on my fat bike and i like the feel for mounting riding.
Often Boost is associated with + bikes. With wide rims and wide tires they offer more grip.
With the added power more grip is better if you ask me.
It keeps the chain from rubbing on the tire.
On 40 mm rims i can do things i could not do on tiny rims.
That is a good point. Here in Quebec the legal max is 32kmh so it just helps us. I can accelerate faster be less annoying to motorists who are in a hurry. I use my Ebike for grocery, i have no car. I also pedal to the trails, play there than pedal back.
The lower = the better when it comes to top tubes.
On a road bike you can put a foot down either side.
In trails you have no clue where is the ground it might be way down so you hit the top tube because they designed it too high.
- Probably 10T is not smart with the added power
- cassette heavier = tougher
- derailleur same as above
- selector probably no multiply shifts, better for newbies
Ask SRAM i guess they have the correct answer.
Of course i meant approved to be used on Ebike.
So what did they answer?
I am 61 YO. now 5 11 with 34.5 inseems. I noticed 1 thing, less strikes wich is safer. The side effect is more flow. We adapt maybe i use different gears but who cares. I still have a good position sitting or not. Usualy shorter is better to climb, less dead spot, but i was OK so no improvement...
Who knows, it might be Toyota?
With a negative economy Ebikes will replace cars.
Walmart will cash in that load of money not Specialized.
But i might be wrong, we will see.
Obviously i was adressing my post at the OP. From my 120 MM it is real affordable to go to 130 mm. I did not liked the tires, i put an add and simply traded no expense. Throwing more money is not allways needed. For me part of the fun is learning my limits, the limits of my bike and slowly...
