......no longer needed so it’s up for sale pm me if you’re looking for one.
It was from my Jam2 (Shimano E8000) which
was new last September, so not too old.
I now have the same model bike but the Bosch version.
I can post it in the UK but you could collect also, I’m near Keighley.
Guess I was lucky in that my problem was treated as a warranty issue; purchased the bike online, have a professional mechanic 5 miles away and the dealer paid me back the £20 it cost to get it rectified.
On experience I would say yours ought to be a warranty fix also.
I think it’s worthwhile...
Dannich not sure if you’ve seen this but it may help your planning.....

The C2C is a great route, just know that the hilliest section is the Pennines; there are some seriously steep and long hills. Plan accordingly!
Indeed, which when you buy a bike partly for its aesthetics then add that ugly lump to it......but then again, when you’re riding you don’t actually look down at it.
When I ran with the tec pack as my reserve I ran the frame battery right into the red with just a mile of range left before connecting the tec battery, that worked fine. But why not just run with both batteries fully charged and run on the tec battery and use your frame battery as the back up...
Going on my experience with that set up and comparing it to the 2020 bike with a 625WH Bosch battery and motor; I wouldn’t buy the Shimano version. The difference is like chalk and cheese. I have no range anxiety whatsoever with the Bosch set up whereas the shimano was a real worry. My example...
Yep, you were right, it didn’t last long. As it’s a new bike the dealer asked me to take it to my LBS, which in my case is a local bike techie......anyway he took it apart and sure enough one of the pawls had come adrift. Whether that’s a Novatec QA problem a Focus build problem or something...
The bearings were fine, nice and smooth; the free hub is a distinctly different part; there are loads of various vids on YouTube regarding my particular problem and lots point to using a light oil in the free hub to lubricate the pawls (totally separate from greasing the Cups & bearings).
I decided to have a fettle instead of taking/sending the bike or wheel back to the dealer: it was all very simple in the end; removed the cassette and dropped some oil around the free hub seal and hey presto, what sounded like something terminal was just something needing a few drops of...
I can’t believe that Focus haven’t resolved this rear hub issue; my Jam2 6.8 (2020) 130 miles on the clock, has developed a real “graunching” sound from the rear hub; stopped to check the usual stuff, brakes, rear mech, no wobble on back wheel; but when I free-wheel it sounds bloody awful, like...
I just think that Focus cut a corner on the battery; I’ve been in discussion for months with my dealer regarding range delivered. I took it to a local focus dealer and they said the problem is that the shimano diagnostics won’t work because it’s not a shimano battery i.e. they can’t test the...
Out of interest does anybody recognise this battery?
Not the type, but the actual one shown with the damage to the LEDs and missing info sticker & serial number; just wondering if it had been swapped into my ‘new’ bike before it was shipped to me.
If you mean the point where it connects to the bike then check the connector pins for corrosion and give them a clean as it sounds like a bad connection. I’ve seen this, as per a couple of posts back in this thread, and others have come across this, too.
Heehee there’s no doubt I’m not as fit as I once was, being the wrong side of 65 but who’s counting; it’s true I no longer ride hundreds of miles a week and I’d much rather sit and watch the rain with a cup of tea and piece of cake than be getting cold and wet but I could still ride a clockwork...
Local Focus dealer is very happy to look at my problem and handle any warranty issue for me. Booked it in next Monday.......hopefully it’ll have enough range in it to get me over Ilkley Moor!
I know I may have had a dig or two at Rutland recently but I have to say now that Rutland are pulling...
Well, it worked for me on my iPhone and iPad after I found a hit somewhere regarding no BT connection. May have been here:

I also had a few BT connections to ‘forget’ but then re-found them and everything works fine.
