I highly doubt it, as the dealer would be breaking the law. Even the US/Canadian top speed is low, it's 25 mph I believe.
You want no speed limit! Hopefully someone will figure it out on the 2019s.
Call and email all the dealers. End of season and more expensive bikes = larger discounts.
Or if the model is not selling well = higher discount.
Discount = (age) + (trim) + (ratings)
So for example, 30% off on a 2018 at the end of September on a bike that is not that highly rated or popular...
Good idea @Peko! Yes, it's the carbon frame. The screws are the ones that go into the plastic surrounding the motor. They are not 'loose', but after 1-2 rides they are definitely not tight. I worry about over-tightening and stripping the threads, but so far that hasn't happened.
Don't agree with the last part. You know the geometry and dimensions, since you have a motor there to start with. CAD modelling, CNC cutting is very inexpensive these days. Sure, you can get hosed and pay more than necessary, but this type of part would cost a few hundred dollars, max. Tooling...
Wow, some real negativity here. Get over yourselves!
I happen to make hardware tech devices for a living, and a custom BB mount will certainly not cost more than a regular stump jumper.
@Gary - why don't you read my post more carefully - without the motor and batt it certainly won't ride like...
Right, so without the motor and battery you have basically a Stumpjumper.
But my question is without the motor, do you need a shaft or something to take its place?
Has anyone thought of how to do this? Thinking that a viable “upgrade” option in the future, when our battery and motor tech is completely outdated, is to use the Levos as regular mountain bikes.
Battery of course is easy to remove. Motor removal has the problem of what to mount the chainring...
I find that the screws around the motor work themselves loose after every ride or two. Not loose to the point they fall off, but they need tightening. I worry it will strip the threads in the plastic soon. Is this common? Maybe the 2019 will be better in this regard.
I’ve had 2 B classes and 1 C in the last 5 years. No issues. Still have 2 of them. Most cars have similar reliability these days because it’s the same parts suppliers used by all.
Interesting how people can have such different points of view!
I can’t possibly see how anyone could say a Focus is better than an A Class, except on price. I worked at Ford and you couldn’t pay me to drive one.
I'm not sure you understand that the point is I'm comparing the 2018 S-Works to the 2019 S-Works. You don't have to explain what the S-Works is for, your opinion anyway; last year's model was also the S-Works!
Also, China tariffs have nothing to do with Specialized. The bikes are made in...
