Just checked the US pricing for the S-Works... a WHOPPING 20% more expensive than the 2018 S-Works! (Not 44%, was looking at the wrong site)
For bigger wheels (which have disadvantages) and more range. No BLEvo. Less expensive front fork. Similar weight (larger battery offsets 800g of gains due...
What?! Absurd. It’s more like the other way around: Carbon is much stiffer than Aluminium; that’s the main advantage of Carbon, not weight.
The Carbon frame on my S-Works has taken a beating and doesn’t even scratch or show any wear. Love it.
Paolo, I love the higher speed because I can get to the mountain trail faster. At 40kph, on the paved roads, I can get to the trails in half the time - that can make the difference between going for a ride, or not at all.
I have carbon wheels on my 2018 SWorks, and love them. The ride is not harsh at all, and the added strength of the rims makes carbon the way to go (if you don't mind the cost).
Yes, it’s worth buying the app! It’s not a lot of money, relative to the price of the bike!
You can read about the heart rate feature, as far as top speed, I can easily get 40 kph and a bit more on flat roads. It’s awesome!
You can’t update the firmware on your own. Blevo, download it in the App Store. It lets you change the top speed, adjust the assist parameters, and can auto adjust based on your heart rate.
They do say to wait 8 hours. When I checked the battery level right after disconnecting the charger, it showed 80% in Blevo and it was down 1 bar in the Garmin. 2 days later without any use or further charging, it shows 100% :)
All LEDs on the bike were lit right after charging.
I just checked mine and it shows 100% now. Could be some kind of cell balancing that is happening right after you disconnect the charger? Perhaps this is why Specialized says to wait 8 hours after charging, before using the battery.
Hmm, odd... all 10 LEDs are illuminated on the bike's indicator, but Blevo shows 80% charge. I have also read that these types of cells are usually only charged to 80%. Tesla does that, for example, and I understand they are the same cells. Could we be using different firmware?
Same here. I don’t use Mission Control.
BTW, when your battery is charged, what does Blevo show? Mine shows 80% full, which I think is normal. The batt only charges to 80% in order to extend its life.
I’m not using the fake channel. I’m using the Levo plugin for the Garmin 1030.
All 10 LEDs are green on the bike’s display.
Perhaps the fake channel is displaying the “fake” 100% charge, as it does for the bike’s own display.
I think I know why: it's to protect the life of the cells. Tesla does the same thing, and don't we have the same cells?
The batt gauge on the bike shows all 10 LEDs lit; but Garmin and BLEVO show 80% charge. So the Specialized gauge on the bike is lying when it says the battery is full, it's...
Hi,
My battery seems to be charging to 80% only. The charger light becomes green at 80%.
Has this happened to anyone else?
I disconnected and reconnected the charger cable, but the light stayed green.
I checked battery level in Blevo and it’s 80%.
