I also have conclusive proof that Shimano 12 speed is brilliant. I have done 1,000 miles on a full SLX tranny fitted to the Decoy and it hasn't missed a beat. Shifting is very crisp, in a 10 speed kind of crisp, unlike Shimano 11. Wear is still minimal which really surprised me.
I am amazed at...
Good to hear. You can lower the seat by 5mm if you remove the rubber bung at the base of the seat post, if that has been fitted. Or perhaps find a lower profile saddle.
Brilliant news for me in Sussex and probably for many in the UK if that avoids the bikes going back to Germany. Peaslake being so close it also makes sense if they have demo facilities.
Fingers crossed for you. I am 6ft and have a XL 29. Spot on. I have slammed the seat post and 170mm is perfect fully extended. I wouldn't want less than 170mm. I fear the bike will be too big for you OP but hope I am wrong. Whatever you don't try and convince yourself that "it will be OK" if...
Really sorry to hear that. It is essentially borne out of envy.
Was that in the UK? I find that the jealousy is dying down in the UK as emtbs are everywhere so I am really surprised. I am not sure I would accept that kind of abuse but I probably don't get it in the first place for some reason...
Cheers. So R and RC are the same damper but without the compression damping adjustment on the R? I have never used it on my acoustic bikes so I probably won't need it on the e-bike.
Does anyone understand the differences between the Charger R and charger RC dampers? I don't need the low speed adjustments of the cheaper select but it's only £50 more than the fixed travel base model on Bikeinn so I don't want to miss out on a better damper in case there are other differences.
There is a fork offset calculator somewhere online. Enter the data for both configurations to assess the impact compared to your current geo.

My experience is quite literally the opposite. I am on my 9th one in 25 years and they've been bombproof, even the first one, a Judy SL. Had a few Fox too and they were great if a little fragile.
It's the second time in a few weeks that the same area of a Decoy arrived damaged with no damage to the box. My assumption is that is was put in the box already damaged. Not good if that is the case.
I'll definitely buy an entry level 160mm ZEB to upgrade my 150mm Yari on the Decoy. I was going to get a £40 160mm new style Debonair spring anyway :)...
I just need the price to be down to around £600 from £679 RRP. If I can sell the Yari for £250/£300 then that's a cheap upgrade as I have...
