I regularly ride my 50lb ebike at speeds well over 15.5mph. It's not derestricted, I just pedal hard!
Don't go throwing that kind of question around, or the next thing you know is that ebikes will have speed limits set, rather than just "motor support" limits. Too many idiots out there...
Not sure if they still work there, but you could try phoning Anja or Vanessa on +49 4471 966 401 745.
I spoke with both of them two years ago when I had a problem with my bike delivery date and also a spare part I needed.
Not sure if they speak English (I speak German), but worth a try.
I'm MICE & MIStructE. I left Britain in 1980 because of the way that the two institutions providing my professional "ticket" were employers' organisations intent on holding down wages so that only "gentlemen" could afford to be consultants.
Over the past 40 years my views haven't changed...
The reason you need to replace the CO2 with "normal air" is that tyres are permiable for CO2. It's a bit like having a very slow puncture.
(I regularly use CO2 canisters to seat my tyres when my air can doesn't give enough oomph).
Often wondered just that. I had zero response to my first Pfizer jab and then was a right mess for 3 days after having the second. My wife's reactions were the exact opposite.
Same as my qualifications, then... (although it usually takes me two goes to get the dropper post to function) :ROFLMAO:
Damn! You were too fast there @Zimmerframe ! I thought I'd been quick enough to delete that post. I realised about 60 seconds after posting it that my argument was flawed because the 5 beers I'd sunk had killed off a few brain cells - the ones dealing with conservation of momentum. Your argument...
Warning... that only works before bed... you can still get the clap once you've gone to bed, no matter how much alcohol you've beforehand. (So a friend told me...)
Not only are you teaching granny to suck eggs (I spent my working life doing those sums... impact is an immensely complex subject, don't get me started...) but 250lb is still below the weight limit of EMTB's and the attainment dream of many a Clydesdale :ROFLMAO:
So let's get this straight...
150lb is hardly a whippet in road biking terms. And I think that 200lb is considered a lightweight in this forum...You have only to look at the complaints about the maximum weight limits on bikes being around 120kg - and then tie these up with the same writers wanting to derestrict...
Mine does that when the cable is not tight enough.
There should be a barrel adjuster by the trigger. Try winding it out to tighten the cable.
(If you go too far then the seat post will not lock when you release the trigger).
Ramps, as in the bit that suddenly goes from 10% to 30% for 50m or so. What do you call those bits? (I think it's a roadie term).
EMTB is better for those because I find that I'm pushing at my maximum Watts to get turbo support in Tour+. I'm pushing nowhere near as hard for full turbo support...
Due to go over for my mother's 89th birthday next month. Just been chatting with a mate who is also due to go over and he's hired his car as "Full to Empty". I hadn't thought of that...
(I'd been reading in the UK papers online how Spain is also supposed to be suffering from problems with lack...
I thought that until I did 6km at 10% average uphill on a mountain track. I might just about have managed it (in my dreams!) in Tour+ if it had been consistent, but the ramps got me. There is still a place for EMTB...
Managed to fill up this morning. No queues. Was a bit pissed at the price of 1.30/litre though. :(
All the filling stations around here seem to be well stocked. No shortages in the supermarket afterwards either.
Dunno about "free" - I paid for the maps... Komoot only seems to report average speed. To get maximum speeds you've got to play with the sliders to pin down the bit you were interested in. Nothing about "Premium" indicates that you'll get that either as it seems to be mostly a multi day...
