Smallest battery that will fit E160

From experience, I can confirm that you will not necessarily notice the extra weight on your back after a few minutes - especially if you have the hip belt properly fitted. However, after 100km my butt did tell me all about the extra 6kg pressing on the saddle. Sadly, an empty battery weighs...

When u refill tyre sealant do u add water ?

I wouldn't go using that sealant for riding through puddles or in the rain. It'll just dissolve the plugged leaks... :ROFLMAO:

Has anyone got or use Vodafone Curve Bike light & GPS tracker

The other thing is the mounting: useless for a dropper seat post and, as I know from expensive experience, mounting a light that sticks out from the bit of the dropper post that extends from the seat post tube makes a nasty noise and a hell of a mess when the suspension fully compresses on a...

Has anyone got or use Vodafone Curve Bike light & GPS tracker

The hooligan in me says that if I'm knicking a bike and a bit stuck to the seatpost starts squawking at me then I'll hit it with a hammer hard. That'll probably sort out the siren and the tracker in double quick time...

2 months old and outdated already

Is that like the Geordie version of Five Tens, but with 1 missing?

2 months old and outdated already

We were talking over coffee about this yesterday during a break in our morning run. Our LBS went through the expense of the Bosch training and software installation a couple of months ago. After thinking about how he'd been royally shafted by Bosch, the consensus was that there was no way that...

    New Bosch Tour + Mode

@Zed , interesting figures. Your power input appears to indicate that you are (more or less) applying the same pressure to your pedals for both modes. That would also translate into a longer ride time, lower average speed and more remaining battery. Do you have a power meter on your...

    New Bosch Tour + Mode

I think you might be disappointed. Tour+ gives less support than Tour. It's meant for riders who want a bit more of a workout than was available using the ECO/TOUR step up. A given level of pedal pressure at TOUR would give a significantly higher level of motor support than the equivalent pedal...

    New Bosch Tour + Mode

I can certainly agree with that. There was a steep hill straight outside the LBS which I stamped on the pedals to get up with my latest motor update. Tour+ really did put in a surge and I nearly took it straight back to the shop to have it taken off again. Having now ridden with it for 150km...

    New Bosch Tour + Mode

You have to push those pedals really hard to get the turbo effect. Looking at the curves on this thread, you'll see that the rider input defines how much the motor adds - and it adds it much later than EMTB. (The curve for "MAGICTOUR" pretty much describes how I feel TOUR+ working). I got up a...

    New Bosch Tour + Mode

EMTB gives a support level which varies from TOUR to TURBO. The new TOUR+ gives a support level which varies from ECO to TURBO. Therefore the support variation is much greater than that provided by EMTB. It's what (IMHO) EMTB should have been all along. I'm surprised that you find TOUR...

    New Bosch Tour + Mode

First ride out this morning with the new Tour+ Mode. Very impressed. It really is a keeper. Where I would expect to be using Eco, I switched down from Tour+ and back up and there was absolutely no difference. However, with gradients, I just kept my cadence and pressed a bit harder and just...

More costs coming for UK ↔ EU purchases?

Open a Wise account. There are no transaction fees on the debit card. The exchange rates are calculated at mid-rate, with a small fee added. Better still, I use it for receiving US dollars which one of my clients insists on paying me with. I have a bank account number for every currency I use...

    Focus jam2 6.8 or 6.7 2020 which one ?

That's really odd. I've now done just under 7,400km on my 6.7 and don't recognise that problem at all. Has the rear derailleur had a knock? If it's properly set up, there should be no reason for "spare parts to fix it". It's just a matter of adjustment. Good luck sourcing that SLX cassette -...

    New Bosch Tour + Mode

Totally agree. Had mine updated yesterday. As the LBS know that I'd be querying where Tour+ was, given that I had specifically asked for it ;), they gave me this screenshot of the update software confirming that "Tour" on the display now equals "Tour+":

Walk Mode on Purion for changing gear

They all do! The speed the bike moves forwards depends on the gear you are in: big sprocket at the back and you'll move at snail's pace. Small sprocket at the back and you be battling to keep up. Just change the gear while it's moving so that it's comfortable for the current circumstance.
