There's also the 200 / 203, 220 / 223 difference - I don't know why; you'd have to be aware of what standards you're using. That might be why some here have had to file or play with washers?
CVT in motor scooters is amazing. There is so much more available power, and much less weight. The big downside is no engine braking - kind of like an emtb.
I did come across this shaft drive system with gears - it is still in it's infancy
From what I've been reading, yes. More power, better modulation. I also imagine less time on the grabs = more time to cool down between grabs. Bigger pads won't heat up as quickly. I've actually had a couple of shimano resin pads lose the braking media; just left with the metal backing plate...
Thanks for that. I've been doing some reading on forums - it seems to be down to oil volume used to push open those pots. Some pots are larger diameter and supposedly need a different lever. So the 6120 for $75 should be compatible :). There is a remark on shimano site for 6120 that states only...
It was originally 180mm, I'm now on 203mm. I can get an MT-520 caliper or under $100 au - it's what I have on the front. I'll keep looking. Also found a Deore BR-M6120 4 pot for $75. Don't know which one is better. Or the SLX BR-M7120 for $104? I think it's MT-520 vs SLX BR-M7120. I'll have to...
long, loose over hard, steep fast descents - I tend to use the rear more. They're cheap brakes - resin pads etc; it's mainly to deal with heat. I thought if I'm going to change rotor so that I can run metallic pads, I might as well try to go bigger for cooling. Also, apparently the caliper is...
You're right. Tubes are also a better option for those who ride infrequently. I use a tannus insert in the rear - you can research them here. Basically use a smaller tube with the insert. I also get the lightest model tyre in what I want; for me that's maxxis dhrII 2.6 maxterra with an evo...
and bugger me - he's done a zimmer on the wheels and tyres too, check out the symmetry! It would be so easy to mess with his head :ROFLMAO:. I'll start; the tyres arent quite matched up with the valves, and, yellow maxxis on one tyre, white maxxis on the other
Ahh, if we could only identify the faulty ones! Of any make  Sorry to hear that ep8 is also lacking reliability, like the rest of them; some more, some less.
Originally, pre ebike, because they're lighter. I run a maxxis dhr evo - it's the lightest (and cheapest) 2.6 casing for the dhr, but I use a tannus insert. That's on the rear. Front is tubeless.
