    Strive:ON Sizing

I was just in the medium bit, go big or go home? 🤭 on a serious note, have you looked at the frame dimensions? always worth comparing with your current bike & how that feels... ok, angles may differ but it'll give you an idea(y) also, I was very tempted by the Underdog, its discounted price...

    Strive:ON Sizing

I've recently bought a Torque:ON and from Canyon's sizes I'm between the middle & top of medium - so I bought a Large 🤭 its perfect, if I'd bought a medium it would have been good but the slightly larger frame allows room to move as opposed to feeling 'stuck' in one position (something I felt...

    New bike day, Torque:on content

Yes, Pinnd 145mm cranks, think they were £170ish posted Easy to fit (a torque wrench comes in handy 👍) and if you buy from Pinnd they have fitting instructions on their product page..

Kryptotal tyres and rims / wheels mounting or compatibility

genuine question. do people have troble fitting Krypto & Zyno tyres? we run 27.5" & 29" on our bikes and I dont have problems fitting them - sometimes completely by hand 🤷‍♂️ Downhill casing, soft & supersoft compounds on DTSwiss, Nukeproof Horizon v2 & pro wheels Rich.

    New bike day, Torque:on content

Yes (y) BUT the low bb can cause annoying pedal-strikes especially if you do a lot of pedaling (25 miles today pedalup / ride down @ Bpw) Lastnight I ordered some 145mm cranks from pinnd (standard fit are 165mm?) Rich.

What did you buy your ebike this week?

    Trek rail

I have a Rail5 (poverty spec with alloy frame), bought ~18 months ago discounted as the previous year model. the only bontrager component I've had issues with was the rear wheel bearings - infamous issue and well documented 🤷‍♂️ to be fair, I adjusted the bearings but after the second time it...

    New bike day, Torque:on content

Had delivery last week, Torque:ON cf Roczen. I’ve been riding a Trek Rail5 but stupidly bought it as a medium size and shortly discovered I needed a large so started looking for a frame to convert, while the rail is a good bike the search for newer and shiny toys overcame common-sense (also...

Anyone riding the Manitou Mezzer Pro?

Okay, thoughts on the Zeb ultimate fork…. Ride Bpw Saturday & Sunday with 25 miles Saturday and 20 miles Sunday (blues & reds, jumps & drops / tech) Still not dialed-in but getting there…. Air pressure 94psi - not using full travel ~160 of 180 available) and springing felt hard but stable…...

Anyone riding the Manitou Mezzer Pro?

I will pass on my thoughts🥴 as to what RS damper is fitted, charger3 I think  could be purple for all I know as it came on a bike with little info 🧐 first Zeb ride tomorrow (also RS rear coil suspension, mullet etc. into the mix🤡 ) Rich

    My new rig 😃

Nice bike👍 I looked at buying one of these last week, they were discounted suitably 😎 Also looked at the Torque Roczen🤔 I’ve been using mavens on my rail for a few months and they definitely work 👍 Rich.

Anyone riding the Manitou Mezzer Pro?

It's back(y) this was this morning, after the 1st battery swap (~11.30hrs, used 2x500wh and a 625wh, about 40 miles across Bpw pedalup & down) I removed the Ohlins ttxair rear damper and refitted the Manitou Mara inline rear damper and was much happier:cool: I'm somewhat upset that I've not...

Anyone riding the Manitou Mezzer Pro?

So, Mezzers going back on the rail, the Ohlins don’t feel as nice (they definitely work but have an unknown ’tune’ and need a service - booked in for end of month) The Ohlins rxf38’s seem to have a very narrow pressure setting window for a comfortable ride and also seem to rely on damping for...

Anyone riding the Manitou Mezzer Pro?

Basic lowers service is simple, from what I’ve seen so far the damper service is not hard either (invest in a shaft-clamp block thingy (cheap 3d printed thing on eBay seems to work for me!) and a few basic tools) And, Yes, thats the infamous ‘bladder’ that seems too flimsy but obviously works...

Anyone riding the Manitou Mezzer Pro?

I’ve stripped the compression damper from the secondhand ’pro’ fork to play with the shimstack, on dismantling the shims appear to be in a different order compared with ‘standard’ :-0 Has this damper been played with previously or just badly assembled? I’ve ridden this damper and it felt good -...

Anyone riding the Manitou Mezzer Pro?

Go up on the irt a bit, try double the main / negative pressure and play with it from there👍 Just make sure you have the forks @ full droop / travel before disconnecting the pump - some pumps can drain pressure when unscrewed but some like topeak have a valve / adapter head that prevents...

Anyone riding the Manitou Mezzer Pro?

Don’t be afraid to play with the air spring pressures, 1 or 2 psi can make a noticeable difference as can the irt pressure - especially on heavier landings 👍 On my (180mm travel) Mezzers if I remember, I’m running rebound 1 from open, hsc open and lsc one from open (open being anticlockwise...
