oddly enough my mrs has an Orbea Rise that had battery problems (trendpower) and also an Orbea Gain roadbike, again had battery issues (trendpower)

I actually prefer the Shimano system - I've jumped from Bosch / my Trek Rail and think the Ep801 is a nicer motor than the CX :unsure:
and you can get diagnostic stuff foe Shimano & Bosch hide theirs as dealer-only:mad:

seems that this has gone out to all owners of affected batterys so Spectral:ON and Torque:ON - good that they've accepted a problem exists but not good for owners wanting to ride (I'm injured so not riding for about a month :cautious: )

I've recently bought a Canyon Torque:ON, 180/175 travel, Shimano EP801 motor & options of 720 or 900wh battery - its a big bike & Canyon size larger than some so maybe worth looking at?
I ride mostly @ BPW (pedalup not uplift) but also local trails and it climbs well but shines downhill (y)

I thought I'd loose wieght with an mtb, actually managed to loose 1 1/2 stone BUT that was due to injuring myself & getting starved by my mrs because she had access to the food supply 🤭
