that's got me wondering if I could do without the mode selector. got a feeling I'd be habitually reaching for theTCU when I should be watching the trail.
Holmbury Hill, Pitch Hill, Winterfold then beyond (west) to Blackheath is a big network of fire trails, and mostly sandy surface.
Also look at the Downs Link, you could head south on that then double back from Cranleigh.
It's been raining hard here since yesterday so I wouldn't expect this...

it is yummy. but I couldn't bear to take that golden chain and cassette out unto a British winter! it would be literally painful.
