one of my crew is in his 70s. he absolutely kicked arse on XC until a few years, strong as an ox, but his body can't do it now. we all have a lot of respect and affection for him and want him to get an e so he can ride with us but he refuses. would be so great to have him with us again.
yes. I turn if off and regard it as training, and have my eco mode set very low for tougher climbs. I work hard.
I sit in about the same place in the group as when on my bio bike, no showing off.
I help people out if they need a tow, and I zip ahead to open gates, safety spot for road...
it's not so much that it's bad at any one time, that happens every winter, but that's it's been non-stop since late September.
actually the sun's out over the Surrey Hills right now, but don't be deceived, it's a trap.
I've a turbo trainer set up indoors (in fact my road bike's not moved off it the last 5 years), I find a 20 minute session HIIT session on that plus some dumb bells keeps me feeling good without getting tedious. I'm also running a bit.
We just need a few dry days in a row and we'll be back out...

My medium Levo Carbon Comp 19 is 27.7kg set to ride (ie 500Wh battery, pedals, tubeless, carbon bars) so you've hit the mythical 4kg weight saving there.
