I'm hoping to get a enduro skull cap and a wee bell for crimbo. Got renthal fat bars for my birthday its just before Xmas, the box is in the cupboard it's driving me crazy . Wife's got a new hoover and a Hive controller for the central heating.

Fitted a new display (Purion400), and gave the bike a clean ready for the service at the LBS tomorrow.

I nearly pulled the trigger on 300, then the 400 was released - I've been mulling over whether to make the purchase. I like the idea its protected behind the bars. I have the LED remote currently.

How are you finding it? Display big enough to read clearly etc? Any issues with firmware/flow app etc or is it simply plug and play (with the additional cable obvs)?

I'd never heard of SEBO, so I spent a few mins digging.

If the 400 had existed at the time I bought my bike I'd have probably got it instead of the Kiox 300 from the get-go.

The Kiox has the theoretical advantage of navigation, but for me I've found the Flow navigation fairly useless (Experiences with navigating using the Flow app) so it's a moot point.

I also considered going all-in-one with the Purion 200 - Purion 200 or Purion 400 "downgrade"

The 400 is bright and clear and despite being smaller I've found it just as easy to read as the Kiox. Don't know what it's like yet on bright sunny days - have to wait 6 months to find out . I also like the position a lot - an idea I believe Bosch has borrowed from Shimano.

Fitting was a 3 minute job (inc. removing the 300, and applying bike-protect). Basically plug and play (if you've got the required cable). The Flow app did push a quick update afterwards, though that might have been coincidence.

It's probably down to personal preferences and requirements - I don't think any of the 200/300/400 options are bad or objectively worse than each other. The 400 does tend to sporty, emtb, use though.

Yes we would always say going to hoover or just hoovered. Got a Shark so I will just start saying I did the sharking when you were out.

I just don't understand it in the slightest. It's still restricted to 15.whatever mph, so even if it gets there quickly, what's the point ? Of all the ebikes out there this one confuses me the most.
That all said, i don't even understand the 85Nm bikes that much personally, the 60Nm bikes are perfect for power and performance.
I do get that i'm in the minority here.

I agree it would only encourage me to climb more technical and steep stuff which sounds great but when it goes wrong ouch. More power would be more wear and tear I imagine. The 850 battery would be the attraction for me. If he is going to wind the power back mmmm . I will go round the block on it so watch this space.

Ride weight, i.e. heavier riders will appreciate the extra torque. Also in some cases the same motors are used on cargo-bikes I believe.

I think if i lived in Scotland like you or the Peak, maybe it'd make more sense. But locally there's nothing i can't get up anyway here so makes little sense. Even when i go for away days like tomorrow at FoD there's not stuff that can't be ridden on the Rise that i could on the others.

I feel this more generally. My Jam2 is three years old, has over 4k miles on the clock & is modded to my needs. I've fitted new suspension & changed the air spring to give me 170mm, an angleset to make it 63.5 degrees, chopped & changed the contact points, so the bike suits me perfectly. I have no complaints about the Gen4 motor, so I can't see the argument for changing bikes other than the 625 battery range limits it to about 30-35 miles tops round here. When you take into consideration its depreciation makes it more or less a financial write off, I'd need to see a real step change in the tech like a Nicolai Saturn or a major leap in battery tech or similar to tempt me onto a new one.

I would be 15 .5 stone . Levo OK for me but a 6ft 7 inch person may want a bit more torque as you say. Extra power can work for you or against I would think. My acceleration on levo set at zero not the same but a surge of unwanted power caused me a few offs till I got used to it. I can only liken it to that , plus if you derestrict it as well the skies the limit haha. Happy cycling folks

If the front wheel starts getting light and lifting that's about as steep as I would be trying , not sure if power would help or would you back-flip ? . That would be on a forestry road not single track . Bealach Horn that I did last year near Arkle is a very good example last bit was just doable , steering light as anything. That is really in the back of beyond as we say. We will plod on with what have been enjoying for years to come hopefully.

I hear ya. A friend has an identical eMTB as I. Medium Rail 9.7. 85nm. I’m a lightweight and he’s probably 200lbs. Our personal geometry is much different.

I never get range anxiety but he does when we ride together. He’s got a couple of KOM’s on this mountain and I have none. But climbing is no contest.

To level the playing field, during climbs, I would need to use the Fuel EXE…but even then he would still kick my assets in any downhill trail.

Btw, I feel sry that your speed limit is 15mph. That doesn’t make sense to me. (20mph here)

Wifey Girl pants is out on business meeting so....Self service, head to toe only took me 4.5 hours ( never had to deal with pivots and rear shocks before!! ) but everything is ready to get dirty again lol.
