Things you didn't know you needed...

How have I managed to adjust my seat height without it?

Front and back?
Yep, front and back. The back tire is slightly more reasonable. The front tire is unlike anything I have ever seen, except for motocross tires. I like STEEP loamer chutes, so I'm stoked to try these out. I'll report back when I get a chance to test them in the forest.

I am a little worried about how they will feel on hardpack dirt jump lines, but we'll see how it goes.

Bought a Shimano CN-M9100 126L chain on eBay from Woolly Hat Shop (which is actually bikeparts.co.uk) to replace the chain which has just done 1,000 miles which is pretty much par for the course in our South Downs riding conditions.

been looking at those mini electric pumps for a while
came across the Airbank SE on aliexpress for £19 delivered ordered Thursday came today 5 days haha
though I’d take a chance on it
works brillant tbh tested it on 29er front blew it up 3 times before running out of battery to about 20 psi each time
Takes 20 mins to fully recharge it so quality bit of kit. Plus it was sent from Cycplus so maybe made by them?

Not so much for the bike but my connection to it, Endura
MT500 Burner Flat Waterproof Shoes in an effort to find comfortable and waterproof (ish) footwear that also allows use of an ankle brace as these have a large openable area unlike the 510’s I’ve used last year..
£129 was the cheapest I could find with Westbrook cycles👍

As recommended by @Rob Rides EMTB when really mucky I use Vaude gaiters from Amazon, not cheap or pretty but work well. Not the strongest so try to avoid walking any distance with them on.

I just purchased these Fizik Terra Artica X2 clipless shoes for winter rides. After reading a lot of reviews, most people liked them but said they are almost impossible to get on and off your feet. And wished they had a heel loop to aid in getting them on. Well I guess those reviewers have fat feet and cankles.
I’ve used them now on 3 rides and find them to be great shoes and not very difficult to get on and off. (No shoe horn) Mine unexpectedly have heel loops……Fizik must have listened to the reviews and added them.
Comfortable warm dry feet with great hike-a-bike ability.
